My girl has to be drop-dead gorgeous: Karan Tacker

Karan Tacker is rumoured to be dating his co-star Krystle D'souza.

There were reports of you dating your co-star Krystle D'souza, is there any truth to that?
Not at all. Not that I refute that she's beautiful and an amazing person, but our chemistry is more like two boys than any other relationship. We are just buddies and good co-stars. A guy and girl can be only friends too, it is as simple as that.

What kind of a girl would you like to date?
As of now I am married to my work, but I like a girl with a strong persona. She's got to be funny enough to understand my stupid sense of humour and of course, she has to be drop-dead gorgeous. I am open to the idea of falling in love. But love is something you can't plan. Pyaar kiya nahi jaata hojaata hai. I do see my dream girl in my dreams Kabhi toh milegi kahi tohmilegi... aaj nahi toh kal.

How would you say your journey on TV has been so far?
It's been fantastic. The industry has accepted me with open arms. EkHazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai is my third show and the audience has been very supportive of my work from Love Ne Mila di Jodi to Rang BadaltiOdhani to the red carpet hosting of an awards show. I played a variety of characters, which were surely satisfying. Anchoring IIFA red carpet was a good opportunity and a great platform to interact with film industry folks.

Ek Hazaaron Mein... is more about the brother and sister relationship. What prompted you to take up this role?
I've played notorious, flamboyant characters so far, so this progression to a more subtle mature guy came in naturally. My character Viren is the eldest son of the Wadhera family. He is an ace lawyer and is committed to his family values. Viren is a shy man especially in the presence of women. The human element of the character appealed to me and also the channel and the production house were the deciding factors when the offer came.

Of the roles that you have played so far which is the one you can identify with?
Well, all in fact. I think I was a flirtatious Sameer from Love Ne Bana Di Jodiwhen I was in college. I can relate the most to Viren from Ek Hazaron... as I am extremely close to my family and strike a balance between being a subtle and flirtatious individual. Viren is a very realistic character.

What next?
I would like to do some more performance-oriented lead roles. Also, I enjoy anchoring. I would like to host a reality show or a chat show. And if Sunny Leone is there for company, I would love to participate in Bigg Boss!
