I think there are two separate questions:

Who handles kids better?--- which is what the topic of the thread is.

Who handles the MEDIA (with respect to the whole kids and pregnancy situation) better?---- which the article posted tried to address.

My opinion:

Who handles kids better?---- we are no judges for this, since we haven't been to their houses and seen how they are handling their kids. (Hiding her kid from the media doesn't make Ash a bad MOTHER IMO- the two things aren't really related in my POV, plus we have to remember that she took a nice long break from her career to spend time with her little one.) In any case, it isn't fair to compare.

But I would like to believe that BOTH Amir and Ash are handling their kids well, or rather that they are trying their best to be good parents for their kids bcos all parents try to be the best and give their best to their kids.

Who handles the MEDIA (with respect to the whole kids and pregnancy situation) better?------ Definitely Aamir.

Handle Kids? How about Aamir acknowledge his Kid with that lagaan journalist? N what about good role model to his other kids who saw him have EMA while being married to their mother. N here there is a comparison as to who handled their Kid properly.
