Good story + bad acting??

I caught Ritesh and Genelia's flick 'Tera naal ho gaya' on TV and found the story interesting but the acting was doze worthy thanks to the leads, especially Genelia. I thought it could have been a better movie had there were better actors who could act. I wish Kareena Kapoor was in it since she could have done justice to the flick as Genelia's character reminds me of Geet in Jab we met

Basically there are good stories with bad acting where sometimes the movie does well at BO (god knows howv😆) and at times they bomb for obvious reasons

Have you felt the same while watching a movie in which you found the story interesting but the execution was bad?

I was watching 8 x 10 Tasveer the other day. I thought the concept was really neat but the execution was horrible. But not necessarily just in acting...in everything. Like, the manner/style the whole movie was done. If that makes sense. (:

I think story was perfect, direction was brilliant but the only problem was imran khan, he was expressionless and his dialogue delivery was not good! His emotions and acting seemed forced, i liked the girls though, i thought they made up for imran's non-performance

I think the story was brilliant, presented really well but some how the leads were not what one expects them to be like. Katrina did show improvement but there were scenes where you would expect a certain expression and that was missing. The scene where she finds out about 9/11 incidence while being at the university was bad! there was no shock on her face, looked mechanical! John and neil were expressionless for most of the movie. If the acting was better it would have left thrice more impact on me

Kya Kehna

It was a well told story, quite simple and clear but i feel PZ was not a powerhouse performer back then the way she turned later in her career. Her acting was good but there were scenes it looked forced, she was also criticized for her dialouge delivery i remember. Saif was plain awkward back then and the second guy only made it worse

Anjana Anjani

The music and story were good, it was a good watch had it been a little fast paced and the acting was better. PC ruined it for me, i like her as an actor but this isnt her cup of tea, she went very OTT

Kya kehna had a nice story and yeah something was missing big time. But Anjaana Anjaani was a disaster. Ranbir and the music were the only positives because I found the story pretty dull and cliche. As for Priyanka, well she was thumbs down big time

I had the same reactions towards Imran in his debut flick. His acting was below average and not very appealing at all. He was boring although he was cute. But the story was nice and so was the rest of the cast

Anjaana Anjaani was shot well, great and had an interesting story too..
It just needed a better screen-play and less OTT acting from both Ranbir and PC.
