Producers.......risk your true emotions!

The writers of soaps live in the neighborhood of betray & betrayal, mistakes & errors, anxiety & regret. Selective memory disorder, blackouts, stabbing and therefore delude us. We understand that Art or Movies or TV needs diversity, tolerance, debate and criticism to live. But HAPPINESS & LAUGHTER is also needed to keep going! Though it is not uncommon for soap opera characters to make melodramatically questionable decisions, but some of these decisions really pain's us & we are left wondering about our own sanity.

Looking at the TV industry one can say that, while the filthy rich get filthy richer i.e. the producers and makers and are expert in diverting the Poor's attention, after watching the crap the poor are too distracted to notice they are poor!! Well, what I know is that we the urban people are tired of the same tired people telling the same tired stories. Their faces change, but the tune is the same. It is time to sit back & think something good for the TV world.

I wish these TV producers & channels drop the smug knowingness and arrogant cynicism which is so hip and marketable nowadays, and risk their emotions and ideas to the moment, trusting that they will be respected and validated, believe me we'll get beautiful serials which we'll be able to relate to.

I would just like to add here instead of writing a new post. Recently I have seen that there are double roles bit going on especially on zee tv. Is it that the producers are trying to save money or is it new zee tv requirement.

My message to zee tv is that…………..

Your dreams have to be bigger, your ambition higher but instead of copying ideas fr others it would have been nice if you come up with your own ideas. It is good to do research but certainly can't applaud your cheating efforts. It is time to make your efforts greater and your commitment deeper.

Both have you said is all I think time and time again the stories have been repeated and this double role business is nothing new Guhas have wrekced this beaitful love story into a murder mystery, revenge plots etc..so ab koi faraq nahin parta what they do unless DK comes back..but TD is something I would always watch even though lately I have been missing it...😛

Well said Mink. I think Zee is trying to ape Start Plus and Sony serials. Kauwa hans ki chaal chali..

But Why dont these writers do something different for a change. They all jump into the same frey..

Surely, there are other interesting themes other than lovers, separation, family opposition.

The only serial that was different was Jassi but after the extension even that has gone to the dogs..😆

I hope someone will make serials like the Friends, Seinfeld, Sex in the City, Desperate wifes..😛 or even the Apprentice!!

Very good points Mink & Memsaab! Mink, just yesterday I was thinking about these producers misleading the poor people by such rich and glamourous looking characters.

It's very disheartening to watch the same stories over and over again in TV serials as well as hindi movies. Whatever happened to originality! Whatever happened to gambling with a new idea and taking a chance! We have many good authors from India and it's sad that now we have to put up copied ideas. No one seems to take any risks anymore. I guess it is more convenient to just steal someone else's idea instead of coming up with new ones. I wonder how long we will have to put up with copied stories and themes....

Apni chhatri tumko dedein kabhi jo barse paani (meaning bribe us with DK)
Kabhi naye packet mein bechein tumko cheez puraani (their gissa pita story ideas)
Phir bhi serial dekhe duniya saari
Phir bhi serial dekhe duniya saari

I have been reading your posts for such a long time... this one makes me contribute....

I liked the caption - risk your emotions... this is something people don't as all they want to do is make money. I do not watch TD ( timing does not suite my routine), I only read updates and enjoy the posts here. There are very very few people who risk this and even once they risk, at some point they start to cater to that section, which watches TV without any thought process. How difficult is to maintain a consistent storyline without forgetting what happened a few episodes ago and get away from all the cliche dialogues. Can they not think of lines that are more realistic?

I do not like the rich settings that are displayed in all the rooms.. which world do they live in - how much of an effort is it to have a lifestyle that people can comprehend. Agreed that they are super rich, but their behaviour, dialogues are not polished to suite them...

We saw a dup Disha kill DK.. now I read that a dup Kusum will kill Abhay.. talk about copy cats.

What is even more irritating is that we cannot do anything about it and we just keep getting more crap as days go by.

i dooo thinkk most of the tv serials are wayyyy too melodramtic 🤢i think a bit tooo unrealistic and sooo true memsaab whats up with the double roles and look alikes come onnn zee how many look alikes can u have lolll 😆.................
