Arnav recalled his last memory of his dad. How much he hated him. How much he had hurt his mum and sister. He couldn't bare it. He didn't want anything to do with him. He just wanted to erase all the memories related to his father. The good and the bad. His father had drove his mum to insanity, he gave her nothing but pain. His father, Mr Malik faked his love for his family. He showered them with gifts but it was all a front. He didn't really care about his son, daughter or wife.
One day Arnav heard his father talking on the phone, "yes, yes I'll be there tonight. Don't worry, I'll make up something before I leave". Arnav, an 11 year old boy was confused. "Dad, where are you going?". "Out on business" replied his father without making eye contact. His father never really liked him, he didn't call Arnav his son. His pride lied with Anjali, the perfect child.
Arnav's dad made his way to the dining room. Standing next to his chair was Arnav's mother, a beautiful woman. She carried such elegance. Her smile was ever so welcoming. She gestured her husband to sit down but he had ignored her, "I have a business trip. I won't be back until tomorrow" and he walked out. Her smile did not fade. She realised that Arnav had witnessed the whole event. "Arnav, come here my baby". Arnav walked out the shadows and into his mothers arms. He breathed in her perfume. She smelt so sweet, her hug was comforting. "Maa, please don't ever leave me" cried Arnav. His mother cupped his tiny face, "baby, I will always be with you. No matter what".
A few years passed. Arnav witnessed his father shouting at his mother. His mother sat innocently on the corner of her bed. "I can't stand you!" Shouted Arnav's father, "that's why I'm leaving you. I'm in love with another woman". Arnav's mother let out a sigh. She curled her lips and finally spoke. "Today is your daughters wedding day. Lets pretend that everything is fine. We have a house full of guests and I don't want there to be any trouble". Arnav's father did not reply, rather he walked out with his phone in his hand. A trait which Arnav had inherited from his father.
A few hours had passed. Arnav did not know how to react. It was his Di's wedding yet his could not bring himself to smile. He kept thinking about his parents. Suddenly Arnav spotted a tall, fair woman wearing a pink saree heading towards his parents room. He quietly followed. "Chote!", cried his Di. "Where are you going?!". She was wearing her wedding attire. "Di, I was just.." before he could continue his Di dragged him along with her.
Anjali finally sat at the alter, before the rituals had begun the siblings and all the guests were startled by a gun shot. A maid ran towards Arnav. "Meem Saab.. meem" before she could continue she fell to the ground crying. Arnav realised what had happened. "Maaa!", he cried.
His last memory, he saw his father walk out with the tall fair lady in pink leaving his mother in her own pool of blood.
Khushi looked shocked. Arnav was lying on her lap, crying his eyes out. He had never seen him so emotional. She comforted him and vowed to take away all his sorrows. Little did she know, her past was also related to Arnav's past. Will their love be enough to overcome their past?
So how was it guys? I'm having a rough day, a lot of drama and all. Pretty fed up with life at the moment. Let me know what you think of my os.
