Life is not easy for the protagonists on Indian television. Abhay and Kkusum (played by Anuj Saxena and Shilpa Saklani respectively) were coming close to each other again (after having been married three times already in the past) but God had a different plan in mind. This time, Abhay will come closer to Him instead. Says Nivedita Basu, creative head for Balaji, "It happens in a Karva Chauth scene. We shot it near a lake. Kkusum shoots Abhay and he falls into the lake. There is a very well done under-water sequence which shows how Abhay falls into the water and is hit by a rock." This sequence was shot at Film City where Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Devdas was also filmedSo does this mean that Abhay will go missing from the show? Says Anuj, "Not at all. I have been told that my character will be there." Hmm, looks like another case of the dead coming back to haunt the rest of the cast… But why does Kkusum shoot Abhay? Aren't they trying to come closer to each other? "That's the mystery!" say Anuj and Nivedita simultaneously. Thursday's episode will freeze at the point where Kkusum puts a bullet through Abhay.
