@ swati :
a huge and well deserved thanx to you🤗 for posting the legal aspects of the current situation related to megha, trust me, it was really informative for me since i never knew about these issues before.
@ aditi :
completely agree with your POV. megha getting furious with mohan after knowing the truth is the most logical thing to happen, although with passage of time she may turn understanding towards mohan. that's what i said in my post too, she will get from angry to understanding in sequencial steps only. but even then, the crack will remain in their relationship for a long time.

Very thought provoking posts, everyone!! Hmmm, this is a real dilemma for Megha and would be absolutely wonderful if she carefully thinks things through and decides to stay and support Mohan through these most trying of times!

However Renu is very close to knowing the sad but true reality of MR marriage and will exploit this knowledge to the extreme!! So, no hope of Megha keeping this under wraps for too long. The question therefore becomes, how will Megha react to not being legally married to the man she so loves ? Surely she must consider the impact on the rest of her very traditional family structure,as well as the rest of society? And what about the likely tarnish on her reputation as well as the her two young and impressionable children?

"Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we conspire to deceive!" and " no good deed ever goes unpunished" come to mind frequently here! The thing is I feel so sorry for them both, they are caught in a spiralling series of unfortunate events, all of the CVs making, just for the sickening sake of garnering TRPs!! And even that gimmick was a dismal failure at all levels!!

Oh well, sadly we all need to prepare ourselves for the onslaught of drama to follow soon...because soon enough, literally and figuratively we will experience the saying " the honeymoon is over!!"

If Megha's character stays true to form then first she will be mad and then she will still stick around and it will not be so much about love but more about commitment

Dont know how the CVs will shape megha post marriage

I like a good love story and this was a very good love story and can still be if Riddhima is chucked out lock stock and barrel and things are fixed NOT forgotten

Mohan will have to pay his dues

Love is not the essence of marriage its a perk - If love were the essence of marriage then every arranged marriage in India would be either null and void or doomed from Day 1. The premise of arranged marriage is first you commit, then love grows. My parents and my in-laws lived by this approach and have happily celebrated many years of marriage. this love is not the romantic one that you read in Mills and Boons but a love born out of familiarily, togetherness and respect. very different. even in love marriages, the romance ends once the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen irritants set in for both guy and gal - what keeps you in love (of a different kind) and a more constant one are two things commitment and trust.

Commitment is the essence of marriage - This is what makes you stick around through the ego tussles, the financial issues, the health highs and lows, the need for together space and time, the kids and the in laws. Megha will stick around for this or typically if she were still the old megha despite the Fashionista avatar.

Mohan's commitment faltered when he agreed to marry Riddhima in a moment of self-doubt and hopelessness. Megha was not taint free in that moment either but then Mohan went and hid the truth and married her under false pretenses. that act was far far worse in nature and effect than his marriage to Riddhima.

There is no point staying in a marriage where there is no commitment. I believe this. If megha had not changed her mind at the last minute he would be honeymooning with Riddhima right now. That is how real his marriage to Riddhima is. He was totally committed to his decision to marry Riddhima. He faltered because Megha said yes. He got selfish. Fine even that he cannot be begrudged. He accepted her decision to marry him. SO far so good. the bad part is that he jumped the gun before divorce and actually married Megha.

he may be unable to hold true the vows with megha because Riddhima is still his wife (even in name only) but as far as Megha is concerned the vows she took still hold for her so I totally see her still abiding by them.

what dissapooints is that this is a man who was staunch about principles, truth and honesty. he left his father forever on principled grounds, he had Lokmanya Tilak's picture in his living room (a writer freedom fighter who fought for civic liberties), he was devastated about the Amar print when he learned about how he destroyed a widow's principled fight for truth and justice with his hasty action. This man grounded by principles and the constant quest for truth is now living a lie. no matter how pleasing the lie. it is a lie and the act is vey much in conflict with how mohan would behave and it is difficult to buy the argument that he is so befuddled by love that he would compromise his principles for the very one he loves. there in lies the crux of Mohan 1.0 vs 2.0.

I cannot help myself from asking why the PH found that this was the only way to bless the audience with the much awaited MM grihasti. A house built on sand that is threathened to be washed away with every approaching wave of the evening tide.

@ Hope: absolutely perfect!! 👏

Excellent ,outstanding, and brilliant!! Take a bow!
I especially like the fact that it was such a dispassionate account of a situation that lends itself to such negative superlatives from many a disturbed and upset fan of NBT !! Yet your account laid it all out in such a restrained yet logical manner, well done on all counts!!

I am disappointed with Mohan's actions since the MR and MM nuptials, but the truth is I just can't stay angry with him !! He is such an endearing personality, I can't help but empathize with his situation ,though he seems almost to have come to terms with what he has done, though he remains in blissful ignorance of the magnitude of of his actions, and of course the fast approaching disastrous aftermath!!

I shudder to think of how everything will eventually play out! The CVs have certainly made a mess of things, and it will certainly be very interesting to see how they intend to handle the inevitable fallout that will result.

But unfortunately everyone, including the viewer,is invariably at the mercy of the dreaded TRPs, whichever way the winds decide to blow, we'll all sail along...for he time being anyways! Heaven help us, along with MM,I suspect we're in for a rough ride! We have little choice but to hold tight!!
