Keep this thread going guys,atleast for today,its our independence day today 😃

I kinda went down my memory lane and thought about all the good times I have had on this day at school ...

Esp. the 50th one ... I was made the house captain of the school .. It was just a very special occassion as a whole ... We had been to school at 11:30pm and hoisted the flag at midnight ... It was just toooooooooo good ...

we had our little parade in the school ... just sooooooooo much fun ...

wore little flags on our shirts ... everyone was dressed prefectly ...

I miss those days 😭 ... And even in our next neighborhood they used to play all the patriotic songs and the streets were decorated ...

It's so festive ... 😊

omg..thts bringing back memories imiss those days..we used to have soo many competetions..and society gatherings..Awwww...i wanna go back to bombay😭
i used to sing in the parade everyday..and i used to rewarded, get medals, certificates..when i suesd to go home and show it to ma parents..they used to be sooo proud..omg..

i'm missin india a lot as well ..evry 15th aug am in india coz am usually in gujarat, n all the skul kid all sing jana gana mana ~ itz soooo cuteeeee n then we salaam the indian flag buhh this is a greaaat post ani di ..n it was nice to share all thoz songzzzzzz 😛 thnxxxxxxxxx 😊

Yeah .. we used to have competitions in our school too.. Every house (we had 4 houses) had to sing a patriotic songs with a group of students ...

It used to be soooooooooo much fun .. we would miss our classes .. 😆

Our house almost always came 2nd ... Yeah I would sing in each on of them .. And also danced 😳 😆

lol..yea..we had for houses as well..ganga, godavari, kaveri, krishna😳😳i was in kaveri..lol..we mostly usesd to come 2nd as well
yea..we missed our classes..to go practice..i wld never go into dancing..i just stuck to singing..we were assigned one house..so we can do w/e we want only for our house😊

This whole thread has become so beautiful because everyone has contributed so much,the songs ,the beautiful pics ,the articles,i have already read the whole thread 2-3 times and i want to read it all over again.

Divya ,shweta and Pooja,its so nice of u to share ur memories here.
I also remember although its a long time bak that we used to practice for this day and 26th of Aug.
There usually used to be a chief guest at our function and i remember that sometimes the kids who had there B'days on 15th Aug were allowed to hoist the flag.We had march past and songs and afterwards we used to get laddoos 😃

Guys whoever has celebrated 15th aug in India can put there memories over here,it will be so nice to read. 😃
