I would say, here she is saying,
you are his son--which is a fact
when ur dad will meet you - she is just saying as a thought, no way she is implying that you will meet,
he must be proud of you- it is more like saying, if at all you meet him, or he meets you he should be proud of you. Its like saying, aage chalkar agar kisi ko pata chale tum Kunal ke bete ho, to sab ko tumpar garv hona chahiye.

I think its an instinctive statement, no matter what happens, the fact that he is kunal's son won't change. And if he is kunal's son, the upbringing is Siddhi's. So saying is husband everything for the woman doesn't come in picture I think.

I feel, its like saying you are his son and you are/will be brought up by me. So when he meets you he should be proud of you (and in part due to the fact that I raised you well).

(I have hardly watched any post leap episodes, so my comments can be off )

i dint watch veer zara, but watched kuch kuch hota hai, watching the film i was like, was that love really strong thats she waited for him for 8 years? after all they were just college friends 😕anything is possible in movie and Ek land 😊
