It's not easy for him either. I'm not saying his actions were right, but realistically, someone who undergoes such pressure and change in their feelings would behave this way. I've seen it happen in my own household and in my own experience. It's completely natural to behave this way, and the CVs are not sugarcoating it with the typical "OH I CAN DIE BUT CAN NEVER HURT THE PERSON I LOVE" because in reality, what parent doesn't slap her child? Does this mean the parent has no love for their child whatsoever? No. Sure, the child must have done something, but isn't this what Yash believes? That Aarti has done something? His intentions were never to physically harm her, he just didn't want her near her. He didn't push her to hurt her, he pushed her that day to keep her away from him.

I understand, but this is needed. We can't expect him to transition from the Arpita phase to the Aarti phase with no self-hatred. Right now he hates himself and hates Aarti too because he probably thinks she's intentionally trying to get him to move on and get him to herself. It's only natural. It's not going to happen overnight and we have to deal with seeing these phases due to this.
