Baby You Make My Life Worth Living
He turned to her as he heard her giggling to herself. "What are you laughing at?" He asked her. They had been walking for nearly half an hour and neither of them had spoken a word.
His husky voice nearly stopped her heartbeat. Yes, that was the kind of effect he had on her, even after 6 months of being with him, she got goosebumps every time he came near her or spoke to her. And she was sure that he loved the fact that he had that effect on her. " Uh .. nothing." She lied, she of course wouldn't make the mistake of telling her what she was laughing at otherwise he would be on her case. Armaan Malik's favourite hobby was teasing Riddhima Gupta.
"Don't lie and tell me what you were thinking Basket." Armaan was adamant.
Riddhima frowned, she was like an open book to him, but then she also knew him more than he knew himself so all was good. " Tch why does it matter. You need to first tell me something." She said stubbornly, stopping at a little park nearby.
"What and tum ruk kyun gayi?" Armaan asked her.
"Oh God why do you ask so many questions Armaan?! Chalo park mein chalte hain." She said happily.
"What! But why?" Armaan asked her irritatedly, he didn't want to spend the little time he got with her in stupid little children's park.
Riddhima scowled at him irritated by his questions, so she got him by the arm and dragged him with her into the park to the roundabout. "Tch Basket ... tum choti bachi ho kya?" Armaan complained, as she sat on the safety bar of the roundabout.
"Haan hoon, do you have a problem?" Riddhima retorted back.
Armaan just smiled at her antics, he loved to see the smile remain on her face. "So Armaan Malik..." Riddhima started, as she opened the wine bottle. "You called me out cos you wanted to tell me something right, so start and you have till the end of this wine bottle." She told him and started to drink the wine.
Armaan shook his head as he watched her being so childish and try to drink the wine bottle in one go. He had called her 11 at night and forced her to come out with him cos he had to tell her something really important and here she was being childish. He went up to her and took the bottle away from her mouth and chucked it away. Riddhima frowned as he did that, but didn't bother to protest. She knew Armaan never let her drink too much cos she was unable to handle it. So she just sat there and waited for him to speak. Armaan however took his time, went closer to her and took her hands in his and places a gentle kiss on them. Once again Riddhima got goosebumps as she felt his gentle touch. He looked into her eyes intensely and said the two words that he had been dieing to say to her since forever.
"Marry me!" Riddhima stopped breathing for a moment as she processed the meaning of what he had said. She didn't know what to say, this wasn't even the last thing she had expected him to say, so she just blankly stared at his face waiting for him to carry on, but when he didn't say anything for a long time either she finally spoke. "What?" was all she could say.
"You know what Riddhima." Armaan replied, almost whispering. "Marry me! Please!" He repeated once again ever so lovingly.
Riddhima felt her eyes pricking with tears. Tears of happiness. She had waited so long for him to say this to her and now that he had, she didn't know how to react. It was probably cos of the fact he had proposed to her so suddenly, when she wasn't even expecting him to propose to her. " Armaan so suddenly .. I don't .. I don't know what to say." she stuttered, trying to get the wright words out.
Armaan smiled as he saw the confused look on her face. He had really caught her in the wrong place. He left her hands and gently cupped her face in his hands. "Basket, I know this is sudden but it's now or never. I love you and I know you love me too and now I just wanna make you mine .. forever.. Mary me!"
Riddhima was now a little less shocked, even now she couldn't believe this was happening, but she was over the moon. Her face broke into a smile as little tears formed in her eyes. Armaan rolled his eyes, when he saw them little tears making their way out. "Basket don't cry. I'm telling you now." He told her off, he hated to see tears in her eyes. "Nahi main ro nahi rahi." she said as she tried to wipe the tears from her face. Armaan couldn't help but laugh at her cuteness. "Water tank kab ka shuru hogaya and madam keh rahin hain ke woh ro nahi rahi." He teased her.
"Armaan!" Riddhima whined, as she slapped him on his chest playfully.
Armaan smiled cupping her face again. "So .. I guess it's a yes."
Riddhima couldn't express her happiness to him at the moment. It all felt like a dream, but the fact that he was with hear and holding her securely made her believe that this was indeed reality. She smiled her best as she nodded her head. "Yes!" And before he could make a move, she placed her lips on his. Everything around them came to a standstill as they kissed each other lovingly. The kiss was deep and more of a promise. A promise of spending their lives together and being with each other through thick and thin...
