So, in my opinion, a few things that seem to have annoyed me endlessly and hampered my experience of watching the show include-
-The absolutely shoddy direction that we've dealt with for the past few days. Compare this with the 'engagement' scene at the mandir, with the silhouettes against the setting sun, and the difference will be absolutely clear. The camerawork is extremely patchy, it's almost like there is no thought being put into the shots. Sometimes, it's all about the presentation. The current direction seems to lack on the sensuality at play. Sanaya and Barun are absolutely fantastic actors, theur expressions save the day, however the poor camerawork ruins the experience in a way.
-Lack of clarity regarding the plots. There seem to be multiple plots at play, and none of the loose ends seem to be heading out anywhere. The concept of the contract marriage seems to have been shunned by the protaganists effortlessly whereas they seemed to be harping on the same a month back. I would love a remarriage track however with the right bit of foreplay. This just does not seem to be the right build-up. Hell! Get us squirming on our seats with a storyline that grips our attention or has us dying for the next episode.
-Lack of consistency in characters.
Arnav and Khushi had started out as beautiful characters with the right amounts of depths. However, Khushi's ever changing stance on her relationship with Arnavand holding absolutely no grudge against anyone for the contract marriage track is weird. The girl was supposed to be a frikkin fighter. I wish they had dealt of K's agony and the family's respect growing multifold for her once they learnt of the situations she's been through for no fault of hers.
-Half truth? What the Eff?
I'm unable to understand the reason for not revealing the entire truth to Anjali and co. When K was revealing the truth to the family, why the hell dud Arnav not substanciate with his own findings. Till date, that remains a mystery.
-Lack of baby bump
Okay, this may seem like a very silly reason but the lack of authenticity due to lack of a baby bump for Anjali is an integral flaw. I forget to sympathise with the woman cause she frikkin does not look pregnant. Say what u may, but I feel this is a unprofessional behaviour on Daljeet's behalf.
-Stingy Production House
Bullshit 4Lions! You seem to have withdrawn all funds from the show. The costumes of theead actors are an absolute shame. And the quality of the sets is degrading tremendously. Just looking at Arnav's room during the almost SR sequence had me cringing. The paint was chipping off the frikkin wardrobe. Arghh! Even the 'AmEzing Developers' office was err, weird. Please bother looking at the aesthetics ppl, there's a reason why you're a visual medium.
-Choice of Songs
Hell SBS has better choice of background songs than you. Right from that 'Saiyyan'to the oldie 'Aaja Piua tohe' were misfits. The 'Mere Sang tu chal zara' would have been so much better.
-Half-backed Romance
Sanaya and Barun have a sizzling sizzling chemistry but most of the scenes has either of the characters contorting their face in uneasiness. And that's happened every single time. Arghh!
-Lack of pressure points
Do you ppl not know how to market your product? You finish pressure points in one episode and drag crap needlessly. Serious lack of marketing 4Lions. Please hire the required professionals.
On another note, I loved both Arnav and Khushi's confessions' and NK's interaction with Dadi.
On an absolutely other note, I love SerialJunkie's and BhaTiya's posts, the Madmaxine's kostins and the Crooners musings. Also, the fanfictions on the pair are such a delight to read. Right from HoH's COS/COG series to Gargee and Bingala's Shades of Grey to Maya's About Last Night. Such a powerhouse of talent.
On yet another note, a very happy independence day peeps.
PS- The above were merely my views. I hope none take offence.
