Why does kisha try to push each other away?

I am sure many of u guys have noticed this. When kd is sweet and caring towards kiya, she goes all ewww on him and throws attitude on him. ( the handkerchief incident)
And when kiya is trying to be sweet to him, he pushes her away. Like in mondays's episode.

Why do they do that? I mean its so obvious that they are attracted to each other and like each other. Lol
My guess is that both cant handle emotions very well. They are both loners and are emotional struck up people. They are scared of letting people come close to them, thats why they quickly insult the other in an attempt to push them away. What do u think guys?

I agree...they also have high egos and they both clash when they are together. They also have a pre-judgement about each other, rather than getting to know one another. Also, they are similar in some ways, but are opposites as they have grown up in different situations/households/class, etc
