I agree with you. I was hoping he'd at least take BLAME for the "marriage" but nope... kept acting like whatever they did was fine and his "wife" got humiliated/blamed for it all, as usual...

Why wasn't Buaji angry? Makes no sense. I would point out La if I was Buaji and been offended that they think Khushi can be demeaned like that only to be married into the family again.

I agree with you, very well said! I was very disappointed in ASR today for not reveling the truth behind there marriage. Why did he do it? To save his DI again! 😵

LOVELY POST.Strange was that NANI didnt even mention to fulfill all the ritual,she was so very ready to remove KUSHI from the house.IT WAS ONLY ASR WHO SUGGESTED REMARRIAGE AS PER KUSHI's WISH.

Awesome post Mary agree with everything u said... now coming to Buaji.

Well that woman irritates the hell out of me. Since beginning for her everything started and ended with payaliya. She would not utter a word against Raizada's as it is her payaliya's sasural. She time and again reminds Khushi that Khushi is an orphan and the gupta's have done her a favor by taking her in so in turn Khushi needs to repay them. That woman does not look at Khushi as family. I have always felt appalled by her mistrust for khushi, when Khushi has worked with a rakshas , suffered mistreatment at work just so that she can financially support gupta's. Today I could not decide who I wanted to slap first buaji or dadi.

Just want to add I do not understand Arnav's love for khushi which lets her dignity be stripped time and again...how dare he not clarify today.

Loved your post. However I would say that apart from Nani and Anjali(as usual) who were hopeless today,
ASR can't be redeemed for stopping the slap or agreeing for rituals. When Dadi was hurling abuses at Khushi, he kept quiet. I was totally disappointed in him. Even if he didn't want to talk about Shyam or contract , he could have at least revealed half-truth and could have owned up that he forced Khushi.

Or in the least-- Just like he said I would not tolerate anybody even touching my wife.. He could have asked the same for Dadi. After all mental torture is equally brutal..

Ok , Just reached office and saw this post .

First of all Long time Mary, How have you been?

Brilliant post as always.

Your posts are always a delight to read.

The problem is the hypocritical society in which we live in India.

ASR is the golden goose so no one can say anything to him , he cannot be blamed for anything by his family because he is the patriarch of Raizadas .

Double standards have always been a let down in our puritanical society where the elders define the "moral" and the "immoral".

Any kind of change is hardly acceptable and specially if the change is for the good and welfare of the others and the young ones.

Thankfully I grew up in a family where I had to never face this because my parents never discriminated between my brothers and I .

But yes, Later I was subjected to this kind of behavior in my profession.

My intelligence has been often questioned in my profession because of my sex and it is hard for men to take orders from a "mere girl" and listen to her without any prejudice.

They feel threatened and uncomfortable.

They fail to understand that intelligence and wit is not a virtue which can be characterized by the sex of a person .

I work with Grade A Male chauvinists who make ASR look like a kid with a lolly but I have now learnt that the only way to deal with this kind of people is be ruthless, no nonsense and get the job done.

See the TRP'S... Portrayal of a woman insulted and abused each and every time is not benefiting the creatives and channel in any way.

2.5 is just the loyal audience...I will be the next one to let go.

Ahh, we do live in a hypocritic world indeed, where making a mockery of women isn't something that is unheard of! :(
Because they are considered to be weak!

And how sad that is cause the female race isn't weak. Not at all! :(
Infact, they are more tolerant, patient, mature and even brighter than the race which considers them to be superior to the other! :/

It is extremely ironically that nani and dadi were accusing Khushi and not Arnav- They themselves being a woman

The other irony lies in Nani having agreed for Lavanya to live in with Arnav?
Did they forget that?

Yes, Arnav is his own master, and also of his house!
But so what?
Just a blant 'I don't believe in rituals', and all glaring eyes turn to Khushi, ready for lash out their anger on her!
