Navi-Dimple as Agam-Nimrit Continued... (My Story, PART 26)
(Hope you guys liked this one! And as always, any ideas, suggestions and also constructive criticism always welcome!)
We start off from the point where its the morning the next day and Agam very naughtily spends his romantic shower time with Nimrit!
As Nimrit comes out of the shower and wears her saree, Agam comes close to her from behind, wrapped only in a towel, and holds her waist with both his hands.
Nimrit: (Says softly) Agam ji...
Agam: Hmmm... (Bends towards Nimrit's neck, and slowly moves her wet hair to one side... while Nimrit feels ticklish... He kisses her on the neck...)
Nimrit: (Slowly opens her eyes which automatically closed while Agam was kissing her...) Agam ji, kya baat hai... aak aap bade hi romantic ban rahe ho...
Agam: Agar aap nahi chahti ki main itna romantic banu, toh phir aap hamesha itni khoobsurat kyon dikhti hain?
Nimrit: (Smiles and turns over...) Chaliiye, ab bahut ho gaya yeh romance, kaam par nahi chalna hai kya?
Agam: Jaiye, aapne mood hi kharab kar diya... (He lets go of her and starts to walk to his cupboard to get his clothes out...)
Nimrit: Par Agam ji... Suniye toh... (Goes towards him and holds his face with her tiny fingers) Sorry Agam ji, agar hum kaam nahi karenge, toh phir aap Papaji se apna vada kaise pura karenge?
Agam: Mujhe sab pata hain...
Nimrit: Toh phir aap naraaz kyon ho rahe hain... Main toh hamesha aapke saath hu na...
Agam: Hmmm...
Nimrit hugs him and then they get ready and head to the dhaba. Once there, Agam receives a few calls regarding the office space rental and he talks it over with Nimrit to show the prospective tenants the space and negotiate rent.
Meanwhile at the palace, its a new morning and Amrit tries to walk around herself with a stick. She prays in the morning as she is alive and well and Rippan is really happy to see that. She thinks she will call Nimrit to let her know that Amrit is slowly recovering from all the trauma and beginning to live life as normally as she can.
At Tej's house, while Nirmal brings out breakfast, Tej says he's in a rush to leave. Nirmal says that she wants to talk to him about something, but Tej asks if it is important and Nirmal thinks the marriage talk can wait. So she lets him go and thinks she will talk to him once he gets back later in the evening.
Surprisingly enough, Amrit reaches Tej's house just after Tej has left. She goes inside, limping away, and walking slowly with a bouquet of flowers. She meets Nirmal and Tej's parents are a bit shocked to see her. They don't know why she is there, but Nirmal tries to act civil and brings her inside and makes her sit down. Amrit says she wanted to meet Tej but Nirmal says that he just left. So Amrit says she will go to his work place and Nirmal asks if its anything urgent and Amrit says she just wanted to thank him for everything he did for her, to help her recover and to get her back up on her feet. Nirmal says she is still recovering, so she need not worry, she says Tej can stop by later at the palace, but Amrit diagrees. She says she will come to thank him personally some other time then. And then she leaves.
Meanwhile at the office space that Agam wants to rent out, Agam sits down with a few people after showing them around and starts to talk about monthly rent. Since the tenants are really keen, Agam calls the other interested parties and gets their quotes and then finally agrees to the price as the people sat in front of him offer higher rent as they are in need of an office space. So Agam says he will get the paper work sorted and contact them, and the party pays some advance to book the space, so that no one else can grab it. Agam is really happy and heads to the dhaba after shutting down the office.
At the dhaba, he sees a few customers and Nimrit struggling to serve and cook so he rushes to help around and once they are gone, he sounds very excited as he tells Nimrit about the new tenants for the office space.
Agam: Nimrit ji, ek khush khabari hain!
Nimrit: Toh bataiye na...
Agam: Woh maine kirayedar tay kar liya... aur unhone humain advance bhi diya hain...
Nimrit: Kya? Apne yeh decision itni jaldi le liya? Apne mujhse pucha bhi nahi?
Agam: Maine aapko phone toh kiya tha... lekin aapne uthaya nahi...
Nimrit: Ha toh main customers ke saath busy thi, itne saare log, itna khana, upar se khana parosna... Sab akele mujhe hi karna tha...
Agam: Woh mujhe maaf kar dijiye... agar main nahi gaya hota, toh aapki madad ho jaati..
Nimrit: Are nahi Agam ji, mera woh matlab nahi tha... waise kitna kiraya mil raha hai humain?
Agam: Nimrit ji, aap pehle baith jaiye. Maine doosre logon ko phone kar ke poocha ki woh kitna dena chahenge, aur uske baad hi sab tay kiya. Jo log mujhse milne aaye the, unhone kiraya badha diya, kyonki unko hi woh jagah chahiye thi...
Nimrit: Hmm... toh phir theek hai...
Agam: Aapko kya lagta hai? Ki main ekdum hi bewakoof hu kya?
Nimrit: Nahi Agam ji... Aapse kisne kaha...
Agam: Are, abhi toh aapne kaha!
Nimrit: Maine, maine kab kaha?
Agam starts to walk away and Nimrit holds his hand, and he turns around and starts laughing. He says he was only joking to get all the seriousness out of her mind. She smiles and then while Agam starts to wash the dishes, Nimrit clears up the cooking area and the tables. They get a few more customers during the evening and then its time to head home. Just then Nimrit receives a call from Rippan who asks her if she can drop by at the palace on her way home, and Nimrit says sure.
Agam drops Nimrit off at the palace, but then changes his mind and parks his bike and goes in behind her. As Nimrit walks in, Rippan is happy to see her and then she sees Agam too, so she makes him sit and Nimrit is happy that Agam came too. Rippan takes Nimrit upstairs and says Amrit started talking and she even went to Tej's house to thank him. So Nimrit gets excited and goes to Amrit's room where Amrit is reading a book. Amrit is happy to see Nimrit and Nimrit goes and hugs her. Amrit says that she wanted to come thank her personally too, but she knows she works crazy hours at the dhaba, so she would have come to meet her some other day. Nimrit says she's is really happy that her Di is well and that she's coming out of her depression phase. Amrit apologizes to Nimrit for everything bad she plotted against her, and that she was never to be blamed. Nimrit tells her that she is happy that she's forgiven everyone and that now she should forget everything that happened in the past and move on in her life. Amrit interrupts her and says she has not forgiven everyone and is not even sure if she will ever be able to forgive Agam for what he put her through. Nimrit tries to reason with her but Rippan stops her. Amrit says she wants to rest and Rippan takes Nimrit out of the room as Nimrit is a bit upset too.
Rippan makes Nimrit understand that Amrit is still recovering and at this stage, they all need to be patient with her. She tells her that things will take time, and all the bitterness between Agam and Amrit will take time to heal. Nimrit understands and leaves with Agam. She sounds very quiet on the bike.
Agam: Nimrit ji, aap theek toh hai na?
Nimrit: Hmmm...
Agam: Are, aapne Amrit se milne ke baad ek shabd bhi nahi kaha hai mujhse... sab kuch theek toh hai na?
Nimrit: Hmm...
Agam stops his bike on the side of the road and then turns around. He asks Nimrit what has happened and why she is so upset all of a sudden, and Nimrit says there is nothing to worry about and that everything is fine.
Agam: Are, sab kuch theek kaise ho sakta hain jab meri ini khoobsurat biwi udaas hain? Nimrit ji... (He can't think of any way to cheer her up so he just lifts her in his arms and then starts twirling away as fast as he can...)
Nimrit: Agam ji, kya kar rahe hain aap?
Agam stops twirling away, and tries to catch his breath and stop his head from spinning round and round, and then looks at Nimrit who is still in his arms, and is staring back at him with eyes wide open.
Agam: Chaliye, aapne kuch toh kaha...
Nimrit: Aap bilkul pagal ho gaye hain!
Agam: Aap hi ne toh pagal kiya hai mujhe...
Nimrit smiles and Agam is happy to see her lighten up a bit. He then lowers her down onto the bike, and then sits down himself. And they ride back home.
