-'Vaidehi ' is another name for goddess Sita .Sita was abducted by Ravan (who was smitten by her beauty) and when she was rescued,she was made to undergo agnipariksha i.e. she had to walk through fire to prove her purity. She did and she emerged unscathed!.Lord Rama took her back to ayodhya,but people still doubted her fidelity and Lord rama who was supposed to be purushottam(the ideal man) and the ideal king gave in to his subjects and sita was banished from the kingdom.(I think this one major flaw in Rama, he was no ideal man here).Years later Rama came face to face with his twin sons luv & Kush ,who told him about the ordeals sita had to go through all these years..Rama was grief stricken when he met sita and requested her to come back with him.But sita refused,she pled to mother earth to her her back, as she could not face more humiliation. And so the ground beneath her cracked open, and she perished into the earth (where she was originally born from, As the legend goes,sita was born as a boon to king janaka, he found her while ploughing earth, and according to other stories, king janaka put some soil into a pitcher and that soil transformed to sita, the point is sita was not born in the normal wayand she did'nt die the normal way either)

So what does this tell us?...that if the story is based on sita's ordeal, then the current track will not get over soon, it took many years for Rama and sita to meet again, six months is quite a short time compared to that.
