Title of topic may seem repetitive but try to hear me out first. I am not here to criticize Sulekha as how she messed thing up for SINAL and she too is to blame for all the mess, etc.

When the entry was to be made, we heard she will be acting as God Mother to Siddhi; a support system. But so far things do not seem that way. She is very shady figure. We do not know much about her. From what we know so far I think she's not going to be Siddhi's God mother but she might be the "GOD MOTHER". Look at things we know so far:

1 - she was in prison for crime we do not know

2 - she is a rich lady with very good contacts and influence

3 - she has team of lawyers working for her

4 - in prison, people were afraid of her

5 - she raised Anand to be a spoiled brat and concealed everything about Siddhi from him

6 - in prison, people called her "didi" (like bhai)

so far this is what we know about her. We do get sense that she is a mysterious lady with equally grey past and background. So it is highly possible she is the "GOD MOTHER" and not just any individual. What do you guys think?

I completely agree with you. I dont think she is going to be a positive character. At best I expect her to be grey or in the worst case scenario a negative character.

Hello guys, i am normally a silent reader in this forum... bt after watching last week's episodes and reading all the posts i thought to share my views...

i have a hunch that sulekha is settling some old scores with kunal...we all know sulekha has a dark past... she was a prisoner also... may be it was kunal who fought against sulekha and sulekha served a few years in jail and after seeing siddhi there n knowing she is kunal's wife she thought of this master plan...

Completely agree with you. I am not comfortable with her character though she is portrayed as the God Mother of Siddhi. The reason is because I feel she has taken advantage of Siddhi and has done things as per her own wish

1. She told Siddhi that her elder son is dead (though she had no proof of that)

2. Decided to not hand over Anand Jr to Kunal

3. Told Siddhi that Kunal is married to Richa. Infact she just overheard a convo between Thakral and Richa and decided that the marriage had already taken place

4. Allowed Anand Jr to call her son "Dad"

There are definitely shades of grey in her chacarter. Logically speaking if she was so rich and powerful with so many lawyers at her disposal, I wonder how she landed up in the jail in the first place

Lets see how her character unfolds, but I feel the Diwan's are the new villains after Richa is exposed!

Sulekha Diwan has not done anything 'god motherly' for siddhi so far. She gave her some emotional and moral support during the last months of pregnancy but any friend could have done that. On top of that, she kept her son with her and raised him for 9 yrs w/o her knowledge and allows him to call her son dad. When siddhi asks her for answers, she just brushes her off and says take rest, I will tell you later?? Very shady and creepy for me.

I think Jay, your 'GOD MOTHER' theory works well here. Lets see. I also like the other idea that she is settling old scores with Kunal! Diwans are grey and they can very well turn into villains anytime!!

yes surekha's character is indeed mysterious, i felt it in last week episodes. I feel maybe she is taking revenge over the chopra's, maybe some old connection with Raj chopra?

i dont want surekha to be negative or abhay, but they are chances in future to put the chopras in good light cvs may turn diwans negative etc.

Well I do not wish to see Diwans as negative characters; at least not for time being. I am truly tired of seeing negativity in show and seems every single character is just there to create problems for SINAL or add to MUs. So really don't want it to happen.

But really what we saw so far is not very comforting. She sure did provide Siddhi with moral support during her pregnancy; but after that her actions do not seem very comforting.

She really has played with Siddhi's emotions as per her wish; more of intentionally than unintentionally. Her hiding fact about first child or saying he is dead seem somewhat ok considering Siddhi's condition.

But she never tried to find out what happened with child or how Chopras well Kunal is living? Why just hear Richa and decide yes Kunal is married? For 9 years she hid fact from a child about his mother? I men how hard is to show a God Damn picture of her to form some attachment? That child's behavior towards Siddhi made me feel sick; waiting for things to turn good there.

So basically Sulekha too has made decisions for Siddhi's without her consent. It is one thing to act in good wish and urge individual to think for alternative options; but her asking for promise and deciding father figure for a child seems way too far.

I feel at best she can be grey character, but time will tell.
