Cold and flu night time pills, my God these are magical! Yes I am a sick person both in the body and mind :) You know the usual body ache, dying cough, a nose running a marathon, to top it off I get migranes, to top it of even more my tonsils are swollen.

Yet I still come here on IF ( yes I know I have no life, you dont have to rub it in!)

This post does have a purpose! A question that is!

Do you think Khushi seeks trouble? Does she inject herself in siutations where she is definitly not needed?! Does she have some sort of an inferiority complex where she needs to apologize to everyone, even though she was the victim?! Why does she feel the need to help everyone? Why must she be so proactive in taking on various roles around the house?!

This is not a hate post, hoping this can turn into a discussion post!

SO DISCUSS AWAY!

Khushi is...a complex character. Why she acts a certain way one day, then a completely different the other is a mystery. She is a woman-child. Woman because of the feelings she holds for Arnav, but child due to her outlook on life.
Whereas Arnav's tragedies in life have forced him to grow older at a tender age, at the same time, Khushi dealt with her demons through regression; namely, becoming more childish.
You will notice that she is as (if not more!) stubborn, as egoistic and as volatile as her husband. Where Arnav is an angry young man, Khushi is an angry young woman.
Khushi thrives on the meaning of her very own name; happiness. She cannot survive in a desolate enviorment. Her insides will die a painful death; her spirit, her vigor; all of it will cease to exist.
Khushi has only one defence mechanism; when things do not work out, she cuts off all connections, justifying to herself that it is for the best. Of course, this plan of actions always ends up failing. What Khushi fails to realize is that she cannot survive on her own; she empowers herself by the joy of others and in turn gives ten fold more to the people around her.
She too, like Arnav has very deep-rooted insecurites concerning her childhood. Whenever she is depressed beyond measure, the dark side of her mind blames the death of her parents only on her.
For Khushi an aplogy is a means of...salvation of sorts. She doesn't apologize when and/if she is wrong; she only does so that she is comforted. It would be called a selfish action, but it is not. Becuase she thinks that it also affects her loved ones.
So, she apologizes.
Khushi shows that she cares by both doing and saying. Unlike Arnav, Khushi is vocal as well as demonstrative. She will make the persons favorite food, clean their room, iron their clothes..the likes.
If she is not proactive, she feels that she is useless. And Khushi hates to be useless. She wishes to be a part of everyone's life. But mostly, she wishes to be a permanent part of Arnav's lives. Khushi understands how much he loves his family...following on the current track, we know that Arnav and Daadi are having a constant face-off, but she knows that her husband respects the older woman.
Arnav means the world to her, and if it means that she will have to do a silly thing such as apologizing for no fault of hers (in her mind!), then so be it.
Hopefully I helped :)
Cheers, Avi.

Wow, definitely a great answer!
I agree with what you just said, and I would like to add that her adopted family had a huge role in making her how she is right now. Whenever, it did something wrong it all boiled down to the fact that Khushi wasn't their own blood, she was an orphan, adopted. The family tried to project that she should be grateful to them since they took her in and took care of her. Therefore she feels the need to continuously please everyone.
