Do you know what's interesting about Virat and Maanvi when they get romantic? It's the fact that here are two people who were never, ever concerned about physical contact as friends. This is not the first time they have touched each other or come close' they have done so before and quite freely too. For me, when I put that idea next to how utterly aware they now are of each other's presence then somewhere it makes the whole thing even more intimate. Their romance is simple yet it still manages to be completely intimate and personal and oh-so beautiful.
It begins with Viren luring Maanvi into her own room where Virat is waiting for her. The whole idea of the brothers conspiring about the best way to get Maanvi away from everyone so that Virat can talk to her struck to me as thoroughly amusing. Guess Viren isn't a prude.. 😆 or maybe Virat convinced him that this could be Viren's present to Virat on the occasion. 😆
Ahhh Maanvi. I always fall in love with the way she simply looks at Virat'. Her Virat. It was beautiful how the open smile on her face upon realizing what the 'surprise' was turned into something more soft and tender. It reflects the depth and the intensity of her emotions there that smile. It shows how grounded her love is.. She may be young but her love is something else entirely. It never was and it never will be a mere crush, or a mere whim on the part of a young girl who is convinced that she is in love. No, it's grounded and its beautiful and it takes your breath away. You see all of that in that smile and in those eyes as she forgets everything and simply looks at the Virat she had once denied herself but who is now so completely and thoroughly hers.
The doors close behind her and she suddenly becomes aware of him. Very aware of him actually. To the world Maanvi Chaudhary is something else but when it comes to Virat, you see how the fire within her tames immediately. She is another person entirely when all that she feels for Virat comes rushing to the surface, the effect of it all always leaving her off-balance. You see that now as well, as she walks to lean against the wall, her eyes never leaving his and vice versa. Virat comments on the same as he moves forward' and Jeevika thought Maanvi could never be shy for real. *smirks*
She owns him subtly again when she tells him to leave. If he doesn't leave now.. She won't let him leave, ever. His return to his family would not be in her hands. Her message is clear enough.. She won't let him go. She can't let him go. And he doesn't want to leave either. These two are scandalous I tell you. 🤣 Absolutely loved how subtly Maanvi shakes her head when he asked if she had a problem with him staying behind. Of course she doesn't. *grins like a loony* Maanvi really needs to behave herself now.. Her actions forever contradict her words. My dear woman, you do not openly stare below eye-level and then go "Haww!" at the idea of kissing that same man. 🤣 Really Maanvi, never took you for a hypocrite. Amusing how when he mentions the word problem she finally looks up as if to say.. We have a problem? 🤣
He wants a kiss from her and she pretends to be offended. Virat isn't one to take no for an answer though. He leans in anyway and she loses her grip on reality for a moment there. Wonderful, wonderful chemistry there I have to say! Quite clear how she definitely considers the idea of kissing Virat there. *smirks again*
But propriety butts in.. or well' Indian TV anyway. *mutters*
What? They were this close! *sulks*
She pushes him away, looking more like a wife than ever who wants to play around a bit before giving in. She reminds him of how all they had had yet was a roka. Really? Is that why you two looked married way before even confessing to each other that you were in love Maanvi? :-P
And this is coming from the girl who decided that her hands definitely needed to cover more ground when she hugged Virat on that staircase. *whistles* 🤣
What? She did that not I!
Love, love, loveee Nia's acting here. I love how her voice slowly reduces to a mere whisper and how it couldn't help but falter when her back hits the post of the bed. Loved how the scene subtly acquired a touch of intensity when he said he wasn't going to let her change her mind. He owns her, he always has.. Only now he isn't going to let her run. Loved the firm statement he made by lifting her chin, his message to her crystal clear. She wasn't going to run anywhere. Not now. Not ever.
She sees that and closes her eyes in a quiet submission. Of course she was his. He was her home, her ground. Even if she tried' where would she run? She cannot hide. Not from Virat. She loves him, even when somewhere she could be apprehensive of this step. Apprehensive or not, she is still willing and fully aware of him again. He observes that for the briefest of moments, observes the affect he has on her and he can't help but smile. She was his Maanvi' his alone. And he loved her. Loved her in a way that was selfless and pure and deep and beautiful. And if he loves her, he respects and reveres her as well. He tells her that by brushing his lips against her forehead instead so that his touch falls like a whisper against her skin.. A whisper of his love. Perhaps somewhere he is still not completely used to the idea of telling her exactly how he feels. He has held himself back for so long now. She opens her eyes at that to see him smiling down at her and somewhere her reverence and her respect for this man increases. Who was this terribly wonderful, beautiful man who loved her as much as he did? It is the freedom of choice that he provides her with and the unbinding nature of his love that will always pull her towards more strongly than anything else. He will always pull her more firmly towards him that way. When he tells her to take care of herself and to take her medicines on time, I loved how she simply shakes her head at the idea of not taking care of herself. Ofcourse she will. She wants to live for him, she wants to love him, to spend the rest of her life with him. How could she not take care of herself? She has to take care of them both. His love is a hope, a strength unlike any that has ever possessed her. It surpasses her love for life. No. Her love for Virat was and always will be greater than anything else.
When he is about to leave and she stops him, you see the lover in Maanvi Chaudhary again. He had asked something of her. How could she ever deny him something he had asked her of? She has wanted to love him for a long time now. Only now she can love him. She can show him how much she loves him and she wants to. She wants to show it again and again and again. And we see that again now. She rushes forward to press a kiss against his cheek because she so desperately wants to love him like she wants to even if she tries to hold herself back. When she utters an "I love you." You see again how much Maanvi delights in the freedom with which she can love him now. She had denied herself that want, that need to tell him in words or in gestures that she loves him. She doesn't need to anymore.. That's why she loves to tell him that she loves him.
She rushes away again and he simply smiles before opening the doors. She watches him leave, her smile faltering as she sees him walk away. She will always be scared of letting him go won't she? She simply can't watch him walk away. He doesn't though.. He turns once and in that he reassures her that he is going to stay. He's always going to be there inside her. She smiles again now, her heart still too full of his love and her love for him.
Once again, these two are interesting as lovers. It's fascinating how they always cross lines in unguarded moments of passion, their feelings always incredibly raw and real while awareness and awkwardness rule in their more deliberate attempts at romance and to tell each other that they love the other person. The first is a heady mixture of passion and love and want and need. Ishq is the word I would use for it. They worship each other even when they romance each other. The second is equally unique and there is a certain innocence and purity there. What strikes me as most interesting is that both flavors is very them. It's never out of character and their behavior is always fitting even if it varies. They have a number of shades to them. They are laughter and strength and hope and then they are passion and awareness and intensity of the kind that can't help but shake you from within and then again they are simply love, love and only love which is ultimately the most beautiful thing in the world. They are beautiful, their love is beautiful and it is definitely one of the best things I have seen on Indian TV lately.
Maham.
