Okay,,,

We've seen millions of films in bollywood focusing on extra marital affairs na? The latest to join this X-tra Marital film list is Dharma Production's "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna".

Wat's common in all the extra-marital affair films?? THEY ARE ALL SHOT OUTSIDE OF INDIA....

My point is...most bollywood's extra martial affair films are shot outside of India showing that Indians in foreign lands are sharing bed with someone else @ day time and then sharing their bed with their married partner @ night..

WHY are desi makers showing that extra martial affairs happen outside India?? Do they ever read news papers like MUMBAI MIRROR and MID DAY where the reader's publish their stories and wants an reply from the adviser??

Films like SILSILA, AKSAR, SHAADI#1, KANK, Gharwali Baharwali, Murder, Hawas are all showing that extra martial affairs happens in outside India!!

Only films like JISM, MASTI were shot in India with the extra marital affair concept. Baaki sabh extra marital films are shot outside India......WHYYYY????????? Whats wrong if they shoot in India??

Well, maybe the reason is that...India is considered to be the seat of tradition and morality, and outside, the West is considered to be more tolerant and slightly more immoral..It must represent freedom, independence...If X- affairs take place in India, the producers will have to show the extra-piercing criticisms the couple have to face frm the Indian society, the elders, parents..opposition from all sides, whereas if the locales are outside, the couples are most probably alone and away frm the family, so they just have to show the emotional turmoil..And the West is more progressive and modern, and affairs are 'controversial' and modern..I hope u got the point...that's why they set them in foreign places...

Was Silsila shot abroad? I thought it was set in India...

yeah i totali agree with u ...it seems like directors want to show indians living outside india to be 'not cultured' but a news flash ...sum of us outside india are more cultured than ppl in india!...its reali annoying when they percieve e.g. girls from UK or US as just sluts or that they hav a loose character when in mumbai there are more of them!

well about KANK all i can say is that i read somewhere that US was only chosen to match the storyline, Karan himself said that it could have been shoot in India but the background locations suited the storyline best

i dont know, i guess in all of those movies the extra marital affairs happen between the rich/upper middle class, and i guess it adds to the look of the film if they are outside the country. Personally i dont think it matters at all as long as the story line is decent.

I think Karan just likes the international locations....Murder and Zeher had affairs too but were shot in India, so I guess it just depends. Karan is one of the few directors who actually has a license to shoot in New York so i think he uses that to his advantage b/c it's a great backdrop.

K3G was shot outside too, but there weren't any affairs in it

ohhhhhh...😆...oops😳 But you know what I mean...there are other examples (i won't try to name them b/c i'll probably be wrong...my film knowledge is kinda poor 😆) of movies on affairs that were shot in India.

I think Karan wanted this story to center around an NRI couple, but I don't think this topic is limited to NRIs...I think it can happen anywhere...although from the reviews I'm reading, the story seems flawed, so not sure about how realistic the story is....but that's a different debate! 😆

oh... lol wow never noticed that!

true that

yep would have to agree with previous answer... India is a place known for morals and ...sanity

so it'd make sense not to make all these films in India since they would pass off a negative vibe with married couples

then again, it always does in any location
