Prachi Desai to be paired opposite Sanjay Dutt!!

Post her recent box-office hit Bol Bachchan, Prachi Desai is on a roll. The actress has been zeroed down to play the lead in the Hindi remake of Saamy.

Saamy is a 2003 cop thriller in Tamil, which will now headline Sanjay Dutt and Prachi Desai in the Hindi remake. Prachi is said to begin shooting for the film later this month in Hyderabad. The film will be directed by KS Ravikumar, marking the Tamil director's Bollywood debut and will be produced by producer TP Aggarwal.

Reportedly, Sanjay Dutt essays the character of a roughneck cop in the film.

Now, Prachi Desai is aged 23 while Sanjay Dutt is 53. So won't the age gap be a hindrance to the film??

"Prachi might come across as someone extremely young to be paired with Sanjay Dutt. But we wanted a girl who did not have the oomph factor in her. We wanted someone who could carry off the girl-next-door image well and who could be better than Prachi? She fitted the character just right," says the producer of the film.
