I think i would like to explain how trp calculation works... there's a device called a "people meter" which when attached to the tv gives information to the channels on which of their shows are being watched... So what happens is, the agency TAM selects a sample size of several households (maybe 200 or so i don't know the exact number they've picked) and attach this people meter to their TVs. The trps are calculated based on which shows those households in the sample size watch... So even if the rest of india watches ipkknd, if those in the sample don't watch it the trps will be low...also they dont change the sample from time to time either...
There r also several other factors like the sample size being too small, promotions not being done enough etc all which will affect trps...
