Will Ajay Devgan be Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao? According to rumours, Bhansali wanted his favourites after HDDCS, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan in the film. But their bitter break up left the project in the lurch. It is also said that the filmmaker then roped in Kareena Kapoor opposite Salman Khan in the film. Buzz is that the two even did a photo shoot with the costumes on at a hotel in Juhu. But again the film couldn't start rolling and by the time Bhansali decided to reboot it, Salman had apparently fallen for Katrina Kaif and wanted her to replace Kareena.
We all know about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's love for Bajirao-Mastani. He has been trying to smear the silver screens with this love after the release of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. But for some reason, he could never piece together a scintillating cast for the film. Guess that will change now as reports suggest he has decided to go for Ajay Devgan as his Baji Rao
That's not all. Only a year or so back, we heard that Bhansali is thinking of kick-starting the project finally with Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But that fizz fizzled out too. So, we don't know if we should believe in the latest news that Ajay Devgan might become Bhansali's Baji Rao. Also, it is heard that Katrina Kaif might get roped in to play this Peshwa's wife Mastani. Now, Kareena definitely can't come onboard after her news making walkout from Ram Leela. Hence, Salman finally got his way with the actress in the film but will unfortunately lose out his part.
