No i think Arnav's parent and Khushi's real parents knew each other, there is something related to them which tie Arnav and Khushi together.
The tagline of the promo was that Khushi is responsible for Arnav's past...so who knows maybe Khushi's parents are responsible for Arnav's mother death.
