Last week's episode Judges expressed their displeasure abt Purvi at bottom 3..what abt the others? Isn't it unfair to just talk abt Purvi and feel bad? there are other good singers who were voted out, like Kaushik.Am glad that at least,Salim spoke a few words abt Kaushik. The way,the 4 of them were feeling bad for Purvi,as if she was the best singer.

Historically, audience are against those contestants for whom Judges show their inclination. Rather, they are supportive of those who are criticized mercilessly by the Judges. Mr Anu Malik possibly has not forgotten about Ravinder Ravi of the Indial Idol Session 1. All Judges including Mr Malik was dead against him for obvious reason as he was not singing well. Ravinder Ravi was a 'house painter' by profession from Ludhiana. He didn't have any institutional training on music. He was a natural singer without any classical background. Judges got irritated and concerned as he was not being voted out by the audience till the 5th round of elimination.

Gradually, the judges started reacting sharply every time Ravi came on stage.

"I have nothing to say to you because it seems our words carry no weight and the people of India seem to love you," said Anu Malik in one of the episodes. Farah Khan made scathing remarks, "I hope the people of India realize that they have to vote for someone who will represent the country. It's high time we started acting in a mature manner instead of being emotional fools." "You're singing flat," remarked Sonu Nigam when the Ludhiana lad sang completely off the pitch in the first gala round.

While everyone still wonders what went wrong with Ravi during the most crucial stages of the contest, the man in the line of fire says, "Those were the times when I was dying to get out of the show."

Indian Idol's voting process is not designed to eliminate the 'worst' singer. Instead, viewers are asked to send in votes for their favourite singer - like in a popularity contest. it was the Judges who were responsible for Ravinder Ravi's success, if they had not told all rubbish about him, people would have not voted for him.

Judges should not insist on voting in favour of a particular contestant. Because, they have the power to cast 50% vote in favor of
their favored contestant, rest 50% is of the audience. Audience should be allowed to exercise their voting right without any influence of the Judges.

Judges should learn from the history.
