The story would have been different and more difficult, but yes there would have been one. Shiv now has hope of attaining Anandi as his wife because Daadiji then Bhago greased his way. But, the love and trust only time will build btwn them.
Shiv would have fallen even without the grease. How could Sarpanch Anandi, he resist? On his own it would have taken him longer but, other than Anandi's cooking...he fell for Anandi without Daadisa ka plotting.
- Eliminate the forced food scenes, they would have still met over the nahar project...he would have still learnt to respect her, observed her "magic", learnt about her bal vivah, and discovered through 3rd parties about her divorce... Ashi - his visiting bestfriend would have still tweaked him to Anandi being his dream woman. The admission may have taken longer and in light of not wanting to step on social mores, he would have been wary of approaching the Singh's for her hand... leaving his love for the one sided unrequited kind, but fallen he would have.
As for Anandi...she would have found a great friend and kindred spirit in Shivraj Shekhar, a stalwart supporter, a rishta without a name...that teases the mores of society!
Eventually with time and slight encouragement Shiv would not doubt have wanted to name their benaam rishta... Alternately, his hand may have been forced not by Daadisa but, others throwing mud at Anandi due to their baad thi hui naazdikhiya
Now that I think about it the situation would have been even more nazuk, slower, but maybe more intense as it developed... their unwilling unbidden attraction from friendship forward. Its a forbidden element they won't now have.
