Okay, Let's admit!! Jism 2 has created much abuzz. One, because of its adult genre and Two and most importantly because of Indo-Canadian po*n star Sunny Leone's casting. There is no single 'ADULT' who would miss this one. But is it worth your penny spent? Well yes, but partially. A sequel to Bipasha Basu and John Abraham starrer 2003 hit erotic thriller 'Jism', the film has an Intelligence Officer Ayaan (Arunoday Singh) hire a po*n star Izna (Sunny Leone) to kill an assassin Kabir (Randeep Hooda). But there is a twist in the tale, which we would better let you figure out in the theatres.
Jism 2 completely does justice to the reason it was made for. Sensuality is what the film banks upon and you will get ample of that. No, there is no sleaze, it is just pure sensuality. The basic plot is very well thought of, but the irony is that the audience is exposed to it only in the end. This does maintain the thrill but a little earlier revelation and then the jeopardy with the result could have done wonders to the film.
Randeep Hooda does fantabulously well. His dialogue delivery, intense, emotional and romantic scenes; all are just perfect. This 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster' actor sure knows his job. Sunny Leone was decent enough as a first timer, although her dubbed voice seemed a little artificial. Her character too wasn't sketched convincingly. Randeep and Sunny's chemistry in the film is sizzling, though cannot be compared to John and Bipasha's in the prequel. Arunoday Singh was a stunner in 'Yeh Salli Zindagi' but completely disappointed with 'Jism 2'. His scenes looked made-up and half baked. Arif Zakaria was his usual self.
Jism 2 is packaged with mind boggling music. It has songs that can stay with you forever. Arko Pravo Mukherjee, Mithoon, Adbul Baasith; the Bhatts have hired the best, they always do. Also, kudos to cinematographer Nigam Bomzan for doing a fantastic job. The locations look extremely appealing and beautiful. On the downside, the film is dragged and the screenplay could have been crispier. Izna's po*n star angle in the film isn't explained. When and why she falls for Ayaan too is a mystery. On the whole, if you have expected a lot from the film, it will disappoint. But do watch it for its visual appeal and Randeep Hooda!!!
