"Payal?" Khushi was wondered what Payal was doing here and why she looked so upset when she remembered what had just happened moments before.

"I...I'm...Sorry, Di. I'm sorry." Payal mumbled as she looked up, tears evident in her eyes. Khushi's heart ached at the sight and she quickly walked forward, "I didn't mean what I said before, I'm such a horrible sister, you probably don't even want to ta--"

Khushi's hands stopped the flow of words from Payal's mouth as she pulled her into tight hug. Payal stared at her sister hugging her, hugging her with so much love even after all she had said. Payal clutched onto Khushi's shoulders with a smile as she realized every word Arnav had said was indeed true.

Payal pulled away to continue,

"Di, I said what I said out of jealousy. I know that's no excuse, but I've always felt insecure when it came to you. You were always the better sister, the better sister, the better friend, the better everything! Everything about you from your looks to your personality was better. I'm just plain old Payal and your Khushi. I never minded, really Di, actually I was always grateful to have such a perfect Di. But then when I saw you with Akash, he was just something I didn't want to lose and that too my own sister!"

Khushi watched intently as Payal spoke on and on, voicing her insecurities out loud. Her heart clenched at the thought of Payal feeling insecure because of her, but Khushi was Khushi she couldn't watch on when others were upset and this was her sister they were talking about! With a glint of mischief in her eyes,

"My sister? My Payalia, plain?!... I knew it! I knew that nurse at the hospital had dropped you when you were born! Otherwise why would you say such crazy thing?!"

Payal could only stare on, shocked at her sister's reaction to her words. Payal watched as Khushi nodded to herself as if she was right and everything made sense now.

Khushi looked at the expressions on Payal's and could barely keep herself from laughing out loud, she heard Lavanya and NK's muffled sniggers as they knew their friend and her antics too well, but Payal didn't seem to notice.

"You know you're wrong?" Confusion etched onto Payal's face as she took in Khushi's words. "Your not plain, your special Payal, very special. Not just to me, to Amma, Papa, and Akash. Got that?! You're you and you don't need to feel insecure about anyone."

Payal stared at her sister in wonder, how Khushi was the one you left with tears in her eyes,, but now she was smiling fainting, wiping away hers. Payal hugged her sister, she was truly the best.

"Okay! Okay! Enough of the sob fest! I've had enough of you guys tears for one day!" NK called from behind Khushi.

"Oh shush NK!" Khushi stuck her tongue out at NK before turning back to Payal, her eyes full of mischief again, "Sooo... tell me about what's going on between you and Akash."

"Di! As if you haven't figured it out already along with the rest of the school!" Payal cried in embarrassment. "Akash and I have been dating for a few month secretly, we didn't want anyone to know yet. But I guess you can't always have what you want... But Di, two years in London you certainly must have met someone! Do tell!"

Khushi noticeably stiffen at Payal's statement, she felt the memories coming back, she didn't need this now she thought as she shook her head to clear her thoughts,

"Forget London! I thought when I got back I'd have someone waiting for me, but he seems to have forgotten me and already gotten someone else." Khushi faked a sad face as she mischievously eyed NK's hand in Lavanya's.

Lavanya instantly let go, looking away blushing deeply only to have NK pull her back to him by the waist causing Khushi and Payal to burst out into a fit of giggles. NK couldn't help but chuckle along which also lead to Lavanya's embarrassed giggles.

"Bhai?" Arnav turned to find Anjali staring at him in confusion, "Why are you standing behind this pillar?"

"Nothing. Let's go." Arnav said with finality, dragging Anjali away as she tried to look around the pillar to see what Arnav was looking at.

"But..." Anjali trailed off as the sound of laughter came from the direction her brother was looking earlier. She distinctly heard the laughter of girls which was followed by the laughter of another boy and girl.

Anjali couldn't help but smirk to herself as she knew for a fact that her brother wasn't that boy from behind a pillar. She let out a giggle as she thought of her brother, ASR, watching a girl from behind a pillar!

Arnav turned to look at Anjali with a confused expression as her heard her laugh only to turn forward again shaking his head, muttering something about crazy girls.

Suddenly Arnav glanced at his watch, "Crap! I'm gonna be late!"

Anjali stood stunned as Arnav suddenly ran off for class. She quickly brushed it off as she walked away looking for a certain someone.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" Arnav kept muttering under his breath as he ran through the halls, practically ruling the college came in handy at times like this when everyone moved out of his way as he came running.

He glanced down at his watch once more only to see he had a two minutes to get to class causing him to increase speed. Right as he looked up he saw a figure standing right in front of him.

He was running to fast to have stopped in time and so he slammed right into her figure in front of him. A frightened shriek escaped the figures lips as the force of his body slammed into her small frame.

He instinctively wrapped his arms around her as they both tumbled to the ground. He turned his body slightly as they fell to prevent himself from falling onto of her. His breath left him painfully as his right shoulder made contact with the ground first.

After a few seconds he felt the person still in his arms moving against him and he opened his eyes, which were tightly shut due to the pain cursing through his right shoulder.

His eyes met with the most expressively striking hazel eyes he had ever seen. The owner of those eyes stilled their movements as their eyes met.

Her doe-like eyes were lined with eyeliner, which had slightly smudged in the corner and he lift his hand to wipe away the smudge with his thumb. Her eyes move to eye his thumb for a second before returning to gaze into his once again.

In those hazel-like eyes he saw fear and something else he didn't know how to place causing his eyebrows to scrunch up in confusion.

For how long they lay on the ground staring into each other's eyes no one knew, but the poorly hush whispers brought them back to reality.

He watched as realization lit up her doe-like eyes and she pushed against his shoulders in effort to get causing him to let out a soft "Oof." Her eyes widened with horror and her mouth formed a 'O' shape as she realized what she did.

This rime she got up more carefully, making sure not to hurt him again, before turning back to help him up as well. Never before had he need nor taken help from anyone in his life then why today? He had been doing a lot of things he never nor had ever thought of doing before.

They were lost in each other's eyes once again as she helped him. She accidentally tugged at his right arm causing pain to shoot up his arm and make him mutter an "Ouch." She snatched away hand away quickly, whispering a soft "Sorry"

He stared at her as she gathered her things and his from the ground and hand them to him. She smiled at him, her eyes voicing a silent 'Thank You' as she turned around and began to walk away.
