Amar Talwar is back in Kahiin To Hoga, where he played the father of five girls — Kashish and her four sisters Kanan, Mouli, Mehek and Charu. Chetan Pandit, who had replaced Talwar, is now out of the show.
Upset by the fact that the show focussed mainly on its young cast, Pandit had stopped giving Balaji the dates they needed.
Says producer Ekta Kapoor, "Pandit wanted to continue only if he was given a full-fledged role. We couldn't have a track for him throughout; it was just not possible."
Sources say Talwar had been replaced because Star Plus thought he looked too old for the part of a father of 18- to 24-year-olds. Why is he back now, since he still looks the same? "We couldn't have a third father," explains Kapoor.
