Dear Shyamala, I saw that comment about PG Wodehouse and rejoiced in the comparison. Your posts all have such a witty edge to them that one is hard pressed not to laugh out loud even when sitting with a roomful of people who know not what Pavitra Rishta is let alone IF.

I also saw that you will be missing in August, why, oh why? Hope the hiatus is not for too long and that you will be back with a vengeance in time for DD day (divorce decree day).

Also, I responded to part of your post on Soham on Trish'a thread, sorry.

Dear Pavrish,

Thank you so much. I hope this very flattering state of affairs lasts! Yes, the episode covered in this thread was really the limit as far as all these coincidences, of which No.3 is an absurdity,
were concerned.

More when I am back after August 22.

amazing post once again Shyamala... i keep looking for ur posts everyday... it is packed with humour and in depth analysis which brings out all the facts and flaws... (and every time there are more flaws, one can digest🤣)

i must say yesterdays episode was "Heights of Coincidence"...

1. the person they approach for help turns out to be the wife of priest
2. she is ready to help despite the fact they are strangers, with a saree of her own (such a dariyadil😆)
3. the blouse fits purvi absolutely perfect. (practically impossible)
4. the colour, design, pattern is absolutely the same as that of Ovi's saree (wonder how is possible for a priestess to afford such an expensive saree)😉

complete crap... 😆

Janhvi, the problem is that from tomorrow till August 22, I will not be able to access my laptop or the internet at any civilized hour, because both will be taken over by our young visitors. I will also be totally bogged down with catering to them, and I cannot (foolishly) sit up till 2 am writing all this stuff when I have to be up at 6 am the next day. So, I might as well drop out till the invading horde has departed!

My dear, you are really very flattering, and there is the old adage about the gift horse et al, but the thing about PGW was not just his extreme felicity with the language and the incomparable sense of humour, but the ability to keep up the flow of divine nonsense page after page. book after book. To compare anyone else with him, especially a rank, bumbling amateur like me, is sacrilege, but indeed such a guilty pleasure for me!

Have you seen my latest, interim swan song and collected the laurel wreath (smallest size available)?

Bye till August 23 (is that the DD?).

Shyamala

Shyamala, grandkids? Then you are absolved :) Have fun with them and gladly give PR a break. We will await your return. He was a master at making sense out of nonsense and you do the same, PR is fluff, an airy nothing and you attempt to make sense out of it, day after day, and better yet, you drill a sense of calm and prudence into us who get carried away by this rollercoaster of a soap.

No, my dear, not teenage grandkids - my one and only Sasha is just 28, you see. These are relatives' kids, which makes it worse, for you cannot discipline them without a qualm as you can with your own. Keep your fingers crossed for me to survive this endurance test!

Thanks for all the nice things you have said about me, and do read my (temporary) last salvo to you on the Gathering momentum ?? thread, about the 'wilting string bean'. It will make you laugh out loud.

Ah, relatives' kids, eh? Yes, you have to be on your best behavior, lol. I did not think you had teenage kids, I did remember Siddharth was just 28 but assumed you had little grand kids. I will miss your posts, you knew that already. Have you planned out their entertainment? Movies, food? Teenagers can be the bane of one's existence :) they can eat a horse on the hour but I am certain you will enjoy the company. I will make sure to read the post you mentioned haste post haste.
