Mandy, you truly echo our sentiments, all of us who are truly fans of Shyamala's wonderful writingšŸ‘āļøšŸ‘āļøšŸ‘šŸ‘, whether the healthiest does of irony, wit, humor, quotes and tying it up to daily life, whether religious scriptures or detailed knowledge of various traditional kinds of sarees and how much each weighs, meticulous detail on the scenes and ofcourse fiery passion for every written word and its meaning...Kudos Shyamala, really we will miss u...but absence makes the heart grow fonder 😳...

Shyamala, Thank you..Thank you... This is not for your reply, but more so for stopping me indirectly from questioning myself about my judgement of certain scenes in yesterday's episode. Af ter reading inummerable posts yesterday, I started wondering if my judgement is starting to be biased regarding Archana's reaction to Purvi's disappearance. I seemed to be the only person who was not "touched" by the display of her emotions. I found it very melodramatic and over the top. I rather prefer her restrained reactions in recent times, to be specific, when she watches arjun paying the hosptial bills, when Arjun starts walking away quietly in the end, and quitely watching purvi's anguish over arjun not showing up a few days ago. I am relieved now that there is one more person who thinks so. I just saw that Mandy agrees too...I am not alone then 😊...Big relief !!
This being Purvi's kidnapping, I rather prefer the focus to be on that, rather than a manav-vishnu reunion that everyone seems to be going towards. The kidnap was intended to show Archana about Arjun's commitment to Purvi, it was not about Manav. There doesnt seem to be a thought about Purvi's plight and distress. This is the sole reason why I want only Arjun to be part of the mission, other than being the hero, ofcourse. :)...But, it probably will turn out to be a joint effort..
A very good observation about Vishnu knowing who Archana was before the feet touching fiasco. I didnt realize until yesterday that he knew everyone in the family. It does make sense, in hindsight now, that they do study the family before such a crime is committed.
As for the rest, you know my opinions about the "soon-to-be-reformed" Vishnu...

Hi Jyothi, you are not alone in this...Mandy and I are very much along with you and Shyamala...and sad but true, as Shyamala said, catering to the audiences takes over what is right and dignified and focus on the right problem, instead of all this...anyways...Also another observation that Shyamala had was about Savita, when Manav Archana were hugging/consoling, TejOVi were glaring and Savita was not until then, she was just looking down...If per the article, Tej and Savita will stand by Sulo and Archana, and its going to be Manav šŸ˜• and Arjun who will save our dear Purvi...at least in tough times Tej has the good sense and hard to believe even Savita...gosh...

I guess manav will shell out the money, looks like. I would much prefer DK doing it...then, it would be solely Arjun's effort in a way. I really dont rely too much on these articles, sometimes the writers change their thoughts in the last minute too. .so, let us see how things turn out. I just dont want it to be dragged for 3 - 4 weeks as some are predicting, their hope for it is more so far a father-son reunion, rather than any thoughts to poor Purvi and Arjun. If Manav is in the fray, I am not sure how Archana is going to approve of Arjun, which was the original intent of the track. Manav becomes her "hero" doesnt he then? Got to see how they show all this...

Well, yesterday, they showed savita asking sachin to go with Manav...so I guess that is how it is going to be..The less said about Ovi Maam the better. If she doesnt say what we think she is going to, I would be very surprised..i expect that from her. I will even go as far as to expect her to barter Arjun for getting Purvi out...

Dear Abhi,

You missed it because you tire yourself out multitasking all day, and also perhaps because you read the posts on a cellphone.

The simple explanation to what is puzzling you is that from tomorrow till August 22, I will not be able to access my laptop or the internet at any civilized hour, because both will be taken over by our young visitors. I will also be totally bogged down with catering to them, and I cannot (foolishly) sit up till 2 am writing all this stuff when I have to be up at 6 am the next day.

As for the rest, I am beginning to feel that I am not in sync with a large chunk of the forum; the generation gap DOES exist. I cannot possibly work myself up over the kind of manufactured crises that are inflicted on us periodically. So there is no chill in the pit of my stomach when Purvi is kidnapped.

I do love Arjun-Purvi deeply, but I am past the age of going into ecstasies over their love scenes and what Trish calls their PDAs. I prefer intelligent romance to coquetry and nakhras of the kind that surfaced in their last scene.

The problem, I hasten to add, is with me, for I am in a minority of one on most of this. I have tried to enter into the spirit of the majority, for this was a novel and fascinating hobby , but that is not the real me.

So I am at times tempted to quit this forum, where I do not really belong, but I have obviously resisted this temptation so far, for I have grown used to the forum, and used to so many of you, of whom I have become genuinely fond. So don't you worry, Abhi, the chances are indeed extremely good that I will be back after August 22, even if, when I do reappear, I can practically hear many of you exclaiming ( to yourselves, for you are all very polite young people) "Oh Lord! Here she is again!!"

I love reading your long posts.. Please do not shorten them...BTW, what did you mean by this?
In any case, you will be having a reasonably long break from me come August 1, till the 22nd of the month or so. Enjoy that while you can, and also contemplate the tantalising prospect of its ending up as not Au revoir but Adieu!

Are you out of town for a while? Please do not say Adieu! You are definitely one of the good friends here that make it worth while for me in visiting the forum on a daily basis. we will wait for you to get back.

No,Ash, Vishnu will not fall in love with Purvi. PR has already been more daring than usual in showing Varsha as Balan's mistress, but they will never venture into this territory, even though , technically speaking, there is nothing against it.

As for my posts being long, that is the way I am, and you have to either take it or leave it. I cannot expend more effort to edit my posts; it is tiring enough to type them as they are. Jyothi,

It does look like our two kids are in a mess that will not be sorted out even if/after Purvi is rescued. I have sent in my last post today, so I will not repeat myself here, but it does not look at all encouraging.

Dear Mandy,

The best part of writing in this forum is being praised in this extravagant fashion by you. I will genuinely try to sneak some time at the laptop even while the kids visiting us till August 22 are still around, but I doubt if I will be able to find not just the opportunity but the time to write anything worthwhile. It will be all I can manage to keep abreast of PR.

I have sent in a rather flat post today, and anyway, 3 weeks is not too long!

Thanks again, my dear.

Shyamala

Dear Shyamalaji,

The best part of PR is you and your analysis ( your humor, sarcasm, logic) beside Rithvik & Asha amazing screen presence and their natural approach. I only watch PR for this reason only.Nothing else.

I will greatly miss your post during the stated dates you mentioned. Hope you find some time to post your views. I love your long post so please continue to do so.

As for Archana's dramatic scene, I am afraid that I am no admirer of this kind of standard issue stuff, which every actress in TV soaps has to do, some better, like Archana, some worse. It does not touch me at all. I prefer the more subtle kind of despair, like Purvi's growing desperation on the Janmashtami night at home, when Arjun fails to show up, and later in the corridor outside his kholi. But of course the Archana style rona dhona connects immediately with the audience, who have been fed so long on this kind of overwrought stuff that Purvi's more delicate emoting probably strikes them as cold and unemotional. To each his/her own! ( I am completely with you)

It's sad you might not be here for a long time beside Arjun & Purvi's separation. I don't have anything to look forward to:(

Missing you already

Abhi, I am truly deligted to have this honour guard of so many nodding and clapping emoticons! As for the rest, my dear, you are much less than objective where I am concerned, but who am I to object to that ?

Take care. I will be back before you have had too much time to miss me!

amazing post once again Shyamala... i keep looking for ur posts everyday... it is packed with humour and in depth analysis which brings out all the facts and flaws... (and every time there are more flaws, one can digest🤣)

i must say yesterdays episode was "Heights of Coincidence"...

1. the person they approach for help turns out to be the wife of priest
2. she is ready to help despite the fact they are strangers, with a saree of her own (such a dariyadilšŸ˜†)
3. the blouse fits purvi absolutely perfect. (practically impossible)
4. the colour, design, pattern is absolutely the same as that of Ovi's saree (wonder how is possible for a priestess to afford such an expensive saree)šŸ˜‰

complete crap... šŸ˜†
