There is awkward silence in the car. It was too much for Virat. Lately he could not read her mind and that was irritating him. Like right now she was looking outside the window, occasionally she would glance his way and give him a small smile. Why is she acting like this? This is not the Manvi that I know. Did she find out about my feelings for her? No that can't be but why is she so distant from me! Manvi please tell me whats going on before I turn insane.
Manvi thinking to herself Manvi what are you doing? If you stay silent and awkward like this he will know that something is wrong. Remember you decided to be his partner only? Manvi you have to do this, he should never know about your feelings; for his own good.
Manvi decides to break the ice.
Manvi- "Partner are we there yet?"
Her attempt at small conversation surprises Virat. What now she is talking to me again? She sounds her normal self. He answers back saying "No but we are almost there."
This was getting too awkward so Manvi decides to tease him. "Aab itne dhire gadhi chalaoge toh hum kal pahuchenge." (if you drive so slow we will reach tomorrow.)
She never failed to surprise him. He could tell that she was trying to act normal but he had no idea why she was acting. Drama queen he thought. He decided to play along so he answered "Aab tum itni moti ho ki bechari meri gadhi tumhare bhar se thakke slow motion mein chal rahi hai." (Since you are so fat my poor car is tired so it moving in slow motion.)
Manvi was infuriated now. How dare he call her fat! She was anything but fat. "Tum tum tumhe pata bhi nahin hai ki ek ladki se kaise baat karni chahiye." (you you, you don't even know how to talk to a girl).
"Ladki kahan?" (girl, where?) said Virat looking around. He further added "tum apni baat kar rahi ho? Aare tum toh hee man ho ladki nahin" (you are talking about yourself? You are hee man not a girl!)
Now Manvi could not take it anymore.
Agitated she blurted out "tumhari himmat kaise hiu? Maine itne time lekar tumhare liye tayar ho ke ayi aur tum mujhe hee man bol rahe ho!" (how dare you? I took so much time to get ready, for you and you are calling me hee man!). uh oh she thought. Manvi apna mu bandh nahin karsakti? (Manvi can't you shut up?)
Virat could not help smiling at that. She dressed up for him!!! Now he understood why she was sad earlier, it was because he did not compliment her. Does it mean that she likes him too? I have to find out, Virat had a huge grin.
Yeh ullu ki tarah kyun hasraha hai. Kahin isse shuck toh nahin ho gaya? Okay it was time for damage control, " Woh woh I meant ke tumhare dost ki party mein jane ke liye mein tyaar hui (actually I meant that I got ready for your friend's party", said Manvi to negate her previous statement.
Yeah right thought Virat.
They arrived at the venue and Virat parked the car. He got out of his seat, walked around and opened Manvi's door. He extended his hand for her to take it. Now this was a test of Virat to try and decipher Manvi's feelings towards him. The "Manvi", the sherni would never take his hand; she hates accepting help but if she likes him then she will take his hand. Virat waited in anticipation.
Now Manvi was in a dilemma. She wanted to hold his hand but if she did he would be suspicious. It is just holding hands. What the hell , thought Manvi and she was about to put her hand in his when she heard someone call her name " Manvi."
"Manvi" exclaimed Shashank.
