Ambika wakes up from a beautiful dream about Sameer and herself. An attractive saree arrives from Ambika's 'maeka', as Vibha is filled with spite. Vibha embroils Ambika in household chores, as her folks await her arrival at Kapoor House. Vibha tears the sari in places. Later, Ambika unwittingly wears it. Vibha, and a gang of her friends, pour insult on Ambika for wearing the torn sari to her 'maeka'. Ambika cries silent tears as she recalls a childhood 'rakshabandhan' incident.
