OK some old questions from me – my half dead brain couldn't churned out any new ones! πŸ˜•

(If you are a believer – I know you are) God never created any countries neither the states. So, why we glamorize the 'Nationalism' while condemning 'Regionalism'?

but why should we condemn regionalism. we should be proud of it the same way as we r proud to b national. i am a bengali and i am proud of it and i am sure so r yu. but at the same time i am proud to b an Indian too. and this very nationalism makes me respect other region too. the best is to surely luv and b proud of yur own region but at the same time do respect the other regions too. next to this is internationalism somethng tht Vivekananda followed. yes yu need to hav a big heart to do that.

the whole thng can b put into a single line - unless yu luv yourself yu cannot love others.

Why I should be a believer – even after witnessing sufferings of good people without any reasons – seeing innocent kids having terminal diseases. 'Karmaphal'? For what?

Nobody of us in general is completely gud or completely bad. We r made up of both gud and bad. Even a gud person may commit a barbarous crime under circumstances tht resulted in the loss of control over his mind. Although, the mystery of karma is said to be extremely complicated, it is generally believed that yu hav to face the effects to previously committed actions, good or bad seperately. Thus, you hav to face the effects of previously committed mistakes no matter what great deeds may hav been done by yu afterwards. If our mythology is to be believed, the gud person will himself not know what mistake he has committed if it has taken place in his previous life. Thus, a good person may also hav to suffer, an innocent kid may also suffer from a terminal disease.

if you don't believe in this, i generally don't think tht there is any problem. However, i do feel that this belief actually helps us to remain in the path of right action which actually leads to actual inner happiness (i will try to describe this concept below). And i deeply feel tht the lack of this understanding has led to the degradation in the quality of social and family life in the world.

Although, i cannot say that i myself have found the method to be permanently happy, i am trying here to express what little i understand abt the cause of our sufferings and the method of being happy.

Everybody of us is sprinting hard to catch hold of happiness, b it long term or short term. For example, we invest money to be happy say ten years down the line, we work hard during the week to be free during the week-end, make merry and be happy, and if we feel like watching a movie just now it is because we think that watching the movie will make us happy at the present moment. Thus, the bottom line is that our happiness is conditional on the basis of the outcome of an action tht we hav performed or intend to perform and we suffer whenever the outcome is negative.

So, to b permanently happy, our happiness needs to be unconditional. And the method of achieving unconditional happiness I feel is unconditional love. Unconditional and universal love within us may be developed through two processes.

    a. meditation or sadhana
    b. right action

One way of defining sadhana may be: the means of expanding our heart towards universality and developing love and oneness with everything, even a small bird or flower.

Right action may be said to be the method of culturing universal love. Developing the spirit of serving and giving. Not lengtening this discussion any more, we can remember what Gandhiji once said, "if yu are in distress, just thnk of the poorest person in uttermost distress that you have ever seen. It will make you feel better". Thus, lets try to bring a smile on the face of this poorest person with our heart. We will be everlastingly happy whether we suceed or fail.

Why I should pray? Why should I bent my knees in front of someone who needs praising, offerings to be pleased?

i am bending my knees to him not because he wants me to. i am doing it as a mark of respect. he never asked for it. he has asked just complete faith and luv from us and complete surrender.

Cavemen use to think that rains and thunders are god's creation – today we know the scientific background of all those 'natural wonders' from Big bang to Primordial soup! Does that mean God is the difference between known and unknown? Is it possible – one day the difference will not be there – at all?

Firstly, i do not think that we r anywhere near to the actual or complete understanding of the physical phenomena that yu have mentioned, leave aside the intricacies of creation. The intricacies of these physical phenomena are much deeper than we can thnk of (ask any scientist) and i see no wrong in worshiping these physical phenomena, or in general mother nature irrespective of however big a scientist that we have become, not out of fear but out of love and respect for what she has given and providing us.

However, i agree with yur second point. God is truly the difference between known and unknown. Whatever, becomes known is no more super natural. Thus, there is no problem wth scientific innovation. Here, there does not exist any difference with our own philosophy either. it stresses more on being and becoming God rather than worshipping God. infact, our procedure of sadhana is called super science and is intended to help us know the unknown, the truth behind creation and the intricacies of mother nature (Adya Shakti Mahamaya). When ultimately we know everything, we become divine ourselves, we become God.

Our philosophy says that we have actually come from the divine (amritasya Putra), its just that we have forgotten the divinity within us, and we are also ultimately destined to be united with the divine again when we remember back our forgotten knowledge of the ways of the divine through an innumerable cycles of births and deaths and the spiral of karma. Sadhna only speeds up this procedure.

If you get access to a time machine – for 24 hours – what you will do?

go back to the time when Sri Ramkrishna was alive and get to meet him and Swami vivekananda.

What will be your response if you are in their shoes:
As Radha – When Krishna said 'sorry babe – can't go out with you anymore – need to take care of some business at Mathura'! πŸ˜‰

πŸ˜†πŸ˜† surely would hav felt sad, depressed.

As Droupadi – When Pandava informed her that she is going to get married with all 5 of them!

shocked.maybe i would hav gone back to my fathers place or simply gone and taken sanyas πŸ˜†

    1. As Sita – when Ram asked her to 'prove her innocence'!

would hav told him surely to forget it.
  1. Why you are so scared of injections? πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

😳 no idea Anol. but i am really paranoid when it comes to them πŸ˜†

Di – This one is especially so thought provoking – I couldn't stop myself! Man I can't wait in my next trip to India – when I can go to KGP and have a discussion with you and Bhaskar!! 😊

As most of the 'religious' people haven't read even complete "Geeta", same way the Marxism also misinterpreted in many ways.

In his book Dialectics of Nature (http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1883/don/index.h tm) Friedrich Engels wrote: "Human beings are the part of the Nature, and by natural law a part will never be able too know the whole; so the GOD, difference between known and unknown will always exist, throughout the past and future history of human civilization"

Indeed, dialectics cannot be despised with impunity. However great one's contempt for all theoretical thought, nevertheless one cannot bring two natural facts into relation with one another, or understand the connection existing between them, without theoretical thought. The only question is whether one's thinking is correct or not, and contempt of theory is evidently the most certain way to think naturalistically, and therefore incorrectly. But, according to an old and well-known dialectic law, incorrect thinking, carried to its logical conclusion, inevitably arrives at the opposite of its point of departure. Hence, the empirical contempt of dialectics on the part of some of the most sober empiricists is punished by their being led into the most barren of all superstitions, into modern spiritualism.

Also in a letter to Fritzo Graebero – he mentioned "I was very pleased that you should rise up with such vigour to refute me, but one thing made me angry and I shall tell you straight out what it is. It is the contempt with which you speak of the striving of the rationalists for union with God, of their religious life. To be sure, you lie comfortably in your faith as in a warm bed, and you know nothing of the fight we have to put up when we human beings have to decide whether God is God or not. You do not know the weight of the burden one feels with the first doubt, the burden of the old belief, when one must decide for or against, whether to go on carrying it or to shake it off. But I tell you again, you are not so safe from doubt as you think, so do not delude yourself with regard to those who doubt. You could become one of them yourself, and then you too would ask for fair treatment. Religion is an affair of the heart and whoever has a heart can be devout; but those whose devoutness is rooted either in their understanding or in their reason have none at all. The tree of religion sprouts from the heart, overshadows the whole man and seeks its nourishment from the air of reason. But its fruits, which contain the most precious heart-blood, are the dogmas, and what goes beyond them is of the Evil one. This is what Schleiermacher teaches and I stand by it."
