"Huh...? Oh..! Um... yes..." Payal stuttered staring at Arnav as if he had lost his marbles, he never spoke to her. Her confusion and wonder caused her to blurt out, "Are you...um...a...are you lost?!"

Payal instantly regretted her question when Arnav shouted a anger "What the!" at her. She was a complete idiot, first her sister now him! Akash's brother, Arnav Singh Raizada, ASR as he was known at the college was a senior, he practically ruled the college and she just asked him if HE was LOST.

Arnav took a deep breath, he was here to talk to Payal not yell at her, "I'm not LOST, thank you. Actually, you seem more lost than anyone and I'm talking about in these halls."

"Oh..." Payal mumbled, not knowing what to say, she was still shaken from his anger outburst, but more ashamed of herself as she realized what he was talking about. "You saw the whole thing, huh? Go ahead, yell at me, tell me I'm a insecure b****."

To say Arnav was shocked would be an understatement. Payal's last few words had left him speechless, left ASR speechless.

But then again ASR was ASR and Arnav quickly recovered from his mild state of shock as he cleared his throat, "Well...No. I came over not to resort to name calling, but to tell you, what's happened, happened. Now instead standing there just regretting it, go fix it."

Payal's eyes shot up, she heard the command in his voice along with something else she couldn't place...care...? For her? For her sister? One whom he'd never spoken to, the other whom he hadn't even met.

Those thoughts didn't last long as she thought of her sister, her harsh words, the sheer pain in her eyes, "How?! Di...she...I...she probably never wants to see my face again let alone talk to me..."

The desperation in her voice was evident and it made him want to squirm. Emotions and Arnav Singh Raizada weren't what you would call friends, it was the one thing he ran from, he hated being emotional. He had the urge to curse violently at himself for putting him such a position.

He took a couple of deep breaths before continuing this time, "She's your Di, right?"

He received a mere nod from Payal, "There's no way she can't talk to you. She loves you too much."

Still, nothing. He tried again, this time with a little feeling, "Has your Di ever been mad at you more than a few minutes? No, right? Then why would she be mad now? Words are words, they can't mean more than your actions, your true feelings."

He saw her trying to digest his words that he said with such sureness. He was sure because he knew from first-hand experience that everything he said was true because he, too, was an older sibling. He had almost gotten through to her, just a little more,

"And if it helps she's probably more upset with herself than anyone. She just got back and she's already messed thing up, that's what's running through her mind right now."

There, he watched as his words finally clicked in her head, "Really?! You think Di'll forgive?" Payal asked, wiping away her tears. "Oh thank you so much Arnav!"

Payal jumped forward to hug him, but suddenly pulled back before touching instead she held out her hand for him to shake. Arnav watched Payal run off into the direction Khushi had gone as soon as they shook hands.

He stood there for a few second before he started walking, again not knowing what made him move foot after foot following Payal.

"Your tea" Garima handed Shashi his tea before sitting down next to him with her own. She glanced at him as he clicked away on his laptop, he'd been working from home since Khushi came back.

"I need to talk to you, it's important..." The hesitancy was clear in voice as Shashi looked at her with worried eyes. Taking her hand in his he prodded her to continue, "It's... what I'm trying to say is... Khushi."

Shashi immediately shut his laptop, turning completely towards Garima and taking her hand into his as well, "Khushi? Is everything okay? Is she okay? Is there anything to worry about?"

Garima watched as her questioned her, two years hadn't changed anything had they? Ever since Khushi came into their lives she brought with her happiness. For Shashi she mattered more than anything, more than her, more than Payal, more than himself.

"No...she's perfectly fine...At least I hope..." She couldn't hold it in any longer, she had to let it out,

"What if knows? What is she found out the truth when she was in London? She's changed, as if she's aged somewhat, her behavior is much more mature. She's lost that childlike innocence in her. Oh I knew we should have gone and brought her back the day she left! But you wouldn't listen to me!"

"Garima, relax. She doesn't know a thing I made sure of that. As for the change in her well she spent two years abroad, in college, on her own. It was sure to change her some how, she's just more mature now. That childlike innocence is still in her just subdued, didn't you see her and Payal running after each other like children this morning?"

Garima took in every word her husband said, relaxing a bit she leaned against her husband, "I just hope your right. There's no way I could handle if she knew the truth. It would just destroy her whole world!"

Shashi gently rubbed her arms, comforting her, "We've keep the truth from her for so long... Even if she did know I still feel like it's time we tell her."

And that was it, there was no argument, not because his word was final but because his word was true.

It was time to tell her everything, tell her the truth. Khushi deserved to know.
