Why can't Arnav marry Khushi?

Chapter Ten

Khushi should have been mad at Arnav. Didn't he just ditch her after using her?? Didn't he just break her heart?? But how could she be angry at Arnav?? She knew his reputation from even before she knew him. This is who he is. Did he even once tell her that he is interested in marriage?? No' actually he did tell her time and time again that he'll never marry. Did he ever tell her that he wanted a long time relationship with her? No' Did he even ever tell her that she was the only one in his life right at this moment?? No' Never'.

So how could she ever judge him!! She was the one who was a complete idiot. She gave herself to a man who she knew would never be hers!! In her defense she just couldn't stop herself. She had jumped into the unknown knowing completely well that there was nothing there except danger. She'd finally found the perfect guy for herself , Rohan, who was everything she had ever wanted in her life and instead she gave herself to the bad guy. "Bad guy" !!! Really!! Even now did she think Arnav was bad?? No' Even now when he denied marrying her which could ruin her reputation she didn't think he was a bad guy. He was a good no great guy. He could have left her there in the darkness but he made sure she was safe even if that meant breaking into someone's house at the middle of the night. She knew how much he cared for Anjali and even Payal. She had seen a lot of his goodness over the years. She had also seen how he wanted to hide it from everyone.

Therefore she didn't hold him accountable for something he never committed himself to. To tell the truth she didn't even regret the last few days. The biggest mistake of her life was the best thing that ever happened to her. Khushi had always been a dreamer. Not a practical girl at all'

She turned around to leave'.

He grabbed her hands and turned her to face him "You don't get it Khushi I can't marry you"

His eyes speaking the desperation for her to understand what he was feeling.

"Yeah I get it Arnav, it's ok" she replied looking towards their shoes. She felt tears sting her eyes. If she looked at him she'd probably breakdown in tears and she certainly didn't want to cry in front of him. She tried to be the brave girl she is.

Arnav grabbed her by the shoulders "No you don't get it. I seriously can't marry you. You need to understand" by now he was literally shaking her.

"Did I even once ask you to marry me??" She for the first time since the incident looked at him direct in the eyes.

"No" Arnav, shocked by her question left her shoulders. "but'."

Khushi silenced him by lifting her hand.

"What makes you think I want to marry you" Khushi trying really hard to hold on to her ego.

Arnav looked at her stunned. Seeing him momentarily stupefied she decided to take this opportunity to get out of here.

So Shalini aunty saw them kissing. Yes, it will create a scandal but nothing their reputations couldn't handle. In Delhi city a lot of people got caught at far more compromising situations, Khushi mused. Married middle aged uncles get caught with their 20 something secretaries. She giggled remembering Malini aunty and her driver's gossip. Wait!!! Did she just giggle??? Yes she did!!! This is our Khushi Kumari Gupta, who can see positivity even in the most darkest moment. Oh and anyways, she knows for a fact that Racheal plans to run away from her own posh lavish wedding tomorrow so everyone will forget about them in a jiffy. The only people she was afraid of at this moment was his and hers family. How are they going to deal with this gossip???How will she face nani and anjali di?? How will amma and buaji react!!

It's better not to put foot on uncharted water. It'll only bring pain and hurt both their families. Maybe she should come clean with Rohan. Tell him that Arnav and she had an affair. If he is still interested in marriage she'll say yes. Didn't I say Khushi is a very practical girl'..

Arnav had been momentarily so shocked by the happenings f the evening that he didn't realize when Khushi broke free from him. By the time he realized she was near the door. He could have still stopped her but he preferred to let her leave. What was he supposed to say to her?? How would he make her understand?? It's all his fault' why did he kiss her when he knew very well that this relationship is gonna end like this!! What had he expected that khushi would agree to be his live-in girlfriend and they'll continue to have this affair their whole life without marriage involved!! He just ruined the most beautiful friendship he had with anyone. The thought of Khushi marrying someone else made him feel like their was something stuck in his windpipe. He knew her morals, he knew her values. He knew her. She'd never be happy with him. He also knew khushi would never give herself to him if she didn't have at least some feeling for him. But how could he help her??? Wasn't momentary unhappiness better than lifelong unhappiness?

Khushi didn't even realize when she fell asleep. After the party she ran to her room and fell on the bed telling Garima that she had a headache. As much as she didn't want to think about the Arnav fiasco well he was the last thing she thought about before falling asleep.

"Shush koi sun lega"

It took Khushi a moment to realize that the guy holding her mouth was Arnav (not that it helped in calming her erratic heartbeat)

"Kya huwa Sanka Devi' tum chikhi kyun??? Darwaza kholo"

"Kuch nahi buaji cockroach hain"

"pagal kahiki'. sooo jao"

"What the f**k are you doing here and how did you get up here???" She asked him in a hushed up tone.

"I scaled up the wall"

"You WHAT!!! Why?

"I thought you liked guys scaling up the wall for you'"

For a second Khushi became mesmerized. How did he know?? She indeed had a thing for guys scaling walls. It was her fantasy that her bf would scale up her wall. Awww so cute'''.

Wait!!!What!!! Why the hell did he do it?? Didn't they without speaking a word about it mutually break up with each other????

"Why are you here Arnav??"

"I couldn't sleep"

"So how the hell can I help"

"I couldn't sleep because I couldn't bear the fact that you are misunderstanding me Khushi"

"I didn't'."

"Ssshhh!! before you speak hear me out please"

"It's not you it's me!! I'm at fault. I can't marry you"

"yes yes you've already told me" khushi burst suddenly loosing her patience

"I want to explain to you why!!"

"okay explain!! Why???"

"I know you love babies. I've seen how much you love payal's babies"

"sooo?? they are cute"

"khushi you don't understand!!"

"then explain Arnav"

"I can't marry you because I can never ever become a father!!!"

Firstly, sorry Old Passion readers I res'd that but updating this!!!! I've planned a rocky road for Arhi in that one thats why

Secondly, sorry haven't replied to the previous comments yet. Will get to it soon.

Knowing that ur inspiration is JQ, I somehow knew that this might be the reason but I hope it's not as it was in DUKE and I and arnav's justification is not similar to that of Simon.
