The filmmaker tries to strike a balance by being friends with both actors even as her hubby continues to blatantly woo Sallu
Even as choreographer-filmmaker-actor Farah Khan is busy mending fences with Shah Rukh Khan, more so in the wake of the infamous fracas between the actor and her husband Shirish Kunder, Shirish seems to be in no hurry to go the extra mile in wooing Shah Rukh.
Just yesterday, the music launch of Farah's debut film as an actor, Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, saw Shah Rukh as the chief guest. However, that didn't deter Shirish from tweeting "These days there is more focus on making noise than making films," around the same time that the event was going on.
In fact, Farah's husband continues to unabashedly show his affection for Shah Rukh's arch rival Salman Khan. And we're not just talking about his obsequious tweets about Salman's much anticipated next, Ek Tha Tiger.
We can tell you, the item number in Shirish's upcoming film Joker titled Kafirana has a line that reads: "Paapi yeh ang hain... Saali kalank hain... Behki malang hain... Full-to dabangg hain!" What's more, the track sees Chitrangda Singh performing Salman's famous 'hud hud dabaangg' step as well. Even the promo of the film says it is dedicated to Salman and his 'Being Human' cause.
So what's with Shirish's differential treatment toward the two stars? Said an industry insider, "Shirish has always been fond of Salman, ever since his first film Jaan-e-man that had Salman and Akshay in it. Salman had also done a cameo in his film, Tees Maar Khan. In fact, Shirish is also supposed to do Kick that stars Salman yet again."
Apparently, Shirish has been praising Salman's upcoming Eid release, ever since the first look was out. If anything, this shows his inclination for Salman. Whereas, Farah is trying her best to strike a balance by being good friends with Shah Rukh and Salman.
