Mr Amitabh Bachchan made India proud by carrying the Olympic Flame in London today at 10:30 AM (GMT). He started the journey from Southwark during the final leg of the Torch Relay on thursday.

He tweeted the surprise yesterday at 10:00 AM.

I duno, i dont like the idea of celebs carrying the torch. Its an honor that should be bestowed solely upon the athletes. These celebs r fame wh**es as it is, let someome more desereving carry it.

Look, its not important who's carrying the flame and whose not. Its just the feeling of pride and honor to have an Indian carry the flame. As far as Athletes are concerned I hope they are busy in preparations rather than thinking of being the torch bearer.

Maybe cause he still carries a 'torch for someone'...😆 On a serious note, who the hell knows who decides these things!! I would have liked to see a special olympics sportsman or someone who has beaten a disease like cancer and is still competing do the honors...
