What i think, like you if i understand what you wrote, is that Archana has to decide that Arjun is in fact good enough to marry one of her daughters (Purvi)
When he seemed to be courting both at the same time and Archu was saying he wasn't good enough for either Ovi or Purvi, that now she has to accept that she was wrong, that he IS a good man, good enough to marry one of them... and that one is Purvi, because it is whom he loves...and they love each other.
It was just very bad writing on the part of the writers/cv's ..so it looked like she was saying something else.
