Is Rubina the new lead in the show

Guys please help me i am very much confuse is Rubina the new lead

I don't think Rubina will be the new lead...or at least I hope the CVs won't make the mistake of killing off Toasty's character. Of course Rubina is not to blame for such a track if the CVs do this...she is a wonderful actress and obviously actors don't have any control over the storyline. It would be the CVs fault completely and I really hope the CVs don't do this though because that would be really pathetic on their part to get rid of the main lead after the show basically revolves around Toasty and her sasuraal. Thank you so much, CBians, for all your support...I really must say, I've never seen fans of another show be so kind and supportive to another show's members before...I've seen so much negativity in other forums when such rumors or possibilities are floating or when such a situation occurs but you CBians are just awesome and we are so glad to have you guys here in the SBS forum and to have you all as friends 😊 I really was touched by your post @v3gradev :)

Hi, I am writing for the first time on this forum. I used to watch CB and decided to check out Saas Bina show when I heard that Rubina was going to play an important role. So I have watched only few episodes so far and hence cannot comment much about either the show or the creatives of this show.

I agree wiht views of both V3g and Angie (Sorry sorry, why6) <Angie, I always had a basic view abt the story line, and the cvs of this show are a bit different, and they always try to experiment, and that makes this show special, and coming abt smiley role, I wish what angies say becomes true, becoz I amm tired of seeing third wheels in CB and doesn't want it got repeated here, that too with rubina.

But yeah, upto where we consider the cv's of this show, they were different, and so I am expecting them not to do this, but if so they do it in case, we all cbieans are here to support tejya fans... and we will never accept it.

I was not expecting much from this role, but so far I like Smiley's entrance and Rubina's portrayal of this character. I don't know much about the gimmicks of these creatives, so not sure how Smiley's character would be shown in future. Rubina is acting and looking very different from how she was in CB. Coming back to SBS, I watched one episode just before Smiley's character entered to get the feel of characters. It seems that they got out of a track where they had a stalkish character coming between Tej and Toasty. Also that track brought down the ratings. So creatives would be foolish to repeat something like that again.

So far I am liking Toasty too even though I started watching because of Rubina. Also Tej and Toasty seem to have good chemistry. The creatives would be making a mistake by destroying that relationship. So either Aishwarya is leaving the show and that's why they brought another character to replace the leave. In that case, Aishwarya and creatives should be upfront about it.

Or it may be that the creatives are just going back to show's comic roots to get back their ratings. There was a movie called "meri biwi ki shaadi". In that hero mistakenly thinks that he is going to die and decides to find a second husband for his wife before his death. It was a funny movie. In the end he finds out that he is not dying and his wife blasts him for his actions. It has a happy ending.

So they may just be copying that movie where Toasty would be the lead and Smiley would have a strong role. Neither Smiley nor Tej would ever be interested in each other, but Toasty's efforts would create funny situations. In the end Toasty would find out that either her illness was never severe or she gets cured (as can only be done in serials). Also Tej and Smiley would be angry at her for not telling the truth and trying to play with their lives. So Toasty would learn an important lesson. They can even show Smiley having a boyfriend of her own. In that case, this track would not be bad.

But creatives would be making a huge mistake if they forcibly try to create Smiley as another woman in Tej's life. They would only repel SBS fans and wouldn't be attract new fans because CB fans are tired of such storylines. The creatives of CB destroyed that show because of such repelling storyline. CB had very good characters/actors and basic storyline but such stories brought down the ratings and drove away a lot of viewers. So new viewers are not interested to see Smiley suddenly falling madly in love with Tej and trying to take him away from Toasty.

I see Smiley's character making sense if they show her as Rekha of Khoobsoorat who was a loud extrovert character. She changed her sister's house with her optimistic and sunny nature. So if they make this track a combination of Khoobsoorat and "meri biwi ki shaadi", it would make both SBS and CB fans happy because this way Toasty would remain a lead, Tej and Toasty's relationship would remain intact and Smiley would have a substantial role in this show.

This PH has ptoduced good shows , difrent from others with some contents ...Smiley entry reminded me also of Rekha in Khoobsurat , whe she wa also loud and brings out the hidden talents of the family membes and is loved by all and as Why6 mentioned the movie , this track can go that ay also if it goes comedy way as this PH perhaps produced Dekh Bhai Dekh show...and can very well turn in to positive with moments ...
