I watched jdj seasons -1, 2, 4.missed 3rd...

these are my obseravtions:

1st 2 seasons were completely in sync wid The originl DANCING WITH THE STARS👏 GOOD THING

Also it was dance-style based in each epi.

two styles each week and two choreos gave a demo of the styles before the competition began...

but since last year, i feel

the show has become too "indianised"👎🏼
too much of bollywod...i mean we're not focussing on the theme of ballroom dance style!!!😲

and most important

it's NOT DANCING WITH THE STARS anymore

we are

DANCING WITH THE TV STARS😡

Its evident that they are bringing tv stars for trps and to kill competition from DID And Indian Idol!

I mean 6 wild cards?!! and 5 of those are tv actors [one of which is not even that established😕]

i'm only watching for Isha and Salman😊

this year there are 3 trained dancers in the show as well.

Just name it DANCING WITH THE TV STARS😳

I agree. The whole essence of "true dancing" is just lost. But i guess channels dont survive without TRP'S. Shows don't move on without TRP'S and i have seen such good shows get closed because they werent able to get TRP'S. So, now Television is all about TRP'S and its business basically. Their show can't survive without all these twists and turns and masala's to give the trp's and so we see all this.

Actually, in the American Dancing with the Stars, they have Roshon Fegan, who has only done ONE Disney Channel show, and that too not as the main character, and a few very small roles in films. He is definitely NOT an established star. And Bristol Palin? Are you freaking kidding me? No one even knew who the hell she was until she did the show. She is just the daughter of a Republican politician not known for her intelligence.

In India, TV shows are a huge deal. People basically worship the bahus of the telly duniya, so why is it in anyway weird for JDJ to cash in on that?

I totally agree with you. JDJ has strayed from the original concept of Dancing with the Stars. Granted, one can say that this was done to appeal to the general Indian audience...but still. It turns into a popularity contest very quickly and bringing in six wildcards will probably help their ratings and add more viewers (mainly fans of the actors/actresses that will perform).

Out of curiousity, this is Colors' first time with JDJ, right? I know Sony used to air JDJ so I wondered if Sony did similar things for TRPs.

the show has turned over dramatic...we hardly see pure dance forms...but free style..matlab kuch math karo...it turns out to a drama rather than dance🤣

terrible judging...they never point the act, mistakes...no lip sing...forget steps...or less dance steps...just lot of praising n 30s are given like chocolates to everyone...

if they want good TRPs...inspite of getting 6 contestants...they need some good judges...uff

madubala so true dance turning into drama on contrary dance reality show is aired in the next channel can't this people think why trps are high for that show & besides they all are celebrities still TRps are low. I feel they shd conc on much of dance. It is not dancedrama,i agree few dance only dipicted drama,theme expression no steps but given 30. Lot of unnecessary praising & un needed ovation. JUdges shd really get strict & observe steps & perfect dance & coordination to get TRps . ONly wild card entries will not get TRPs. THey shd increase the standerd of dances & judging also .
