I'm doing a project for my women and literature class and i need someone to interview from India. I was wondering if anyone could answer these questions and give me their take on hollywood and bollywood.

Do Bollywood movies reflect real life in India? How are they different? How are they the same?

Why do you think Bollywood movies portray certain stories/aspects the way they do (i.e. why do they portray them if they are inaccurate to everyday life in India)?

What are some of your favorite Bollywood movies? Why?

After watching American movies for the first time were you surprised or disappointed at what you found? Where you expecting anything?

How are women portrayed in Bollywood movies different from how they are actually looked upon as in real life in India?

What do you wish would get portrayed, or changed in Bollywood movies?

Not all Bollywood movies are the same, yet a lot of them have very similar views and aspects. Why do you think that is and what are some of the reoccurring themes that get repeated?

Lastly, how do you think Bollywood movies influence Indian culture? Do they have any influence on American culture?
