Its was a crystal that was given to Bani by her Dad for good luck, and Jai had the same one I can't remember how. But Bani threw hers in the river because she said that she didn't want luck to help her in life, but do it herself.

Its a crystal ball for luck, which Jai is shown holding in his very first scene (i think it was for luck, bcos he was holding it tight when he was finalising a business deal over the phone with someone)

Bani also has the same thing that she kept for luck too, but later she threw it in the water saying she does'nt need a crystal ball for luck, she will work towards whatever she wants to acheive!

I think the main reason Ekta showed both lead male and female protagonists holding on to that crystal ball for luck in the first episodes was just to show us how much they shared in common..that must've been a hint from the very beginning episodes that eventually these 2 were going to get hooked up together!! 😉

yeah i guess that was the point of the crystal. to show difference. Just a prop
