Okay, this was by far the most grotesque singing I have heard on this show today! I just got done watching Charit's elimination round. How bad are these singers? Serves them right for kicking out Indu Bala! It was so bad...so bad. The 90s was always hip and happening numbers, and they all sounded like they were snoozing while singing.

1) Devendra- although the best, because everyone else sucked its not much of a compliment. I liked the power he brought to his voice, and his low notes.

2)Sohini- she has the best voice of the girls, but she's a train wreck...is she bored the entire time?! I found a little glint of hope near the end of her and Amitabh's performance...she tried creating some chemistry there. She has no passion whatsoever.

3)Amitabh- bland

4)Kaushik- blander, too soft, was okay on some songs.

5)Amit- sigh...oh Amit, oh Amit Amit. Yes, he does have a punjabi folky voice in the back (thanks for pointing that out Poorvi, but your still stuck in wanna be Christina Aguilera mode too) but he is really losing his power, and his love songs are not his style (and Amit took a hit at Poorvi too.)

6)Poorvi- she pretty much hacked and ran a car over all her songs today, it was a torture to listen to, pyar tho hona hi tha...poor Jaspinder Narula. She kind of made up for it with koi mil gaya...kind of?

7)Vipul... :0. HOW did he kill every song?! Tujhe Dekha, its like he was murdering Kumar Sanu's legendary song over and over, he was so flat and his 'hmmm's were horrid. He had no love in his voice at all.

8)Ritika- shrill, shreaking...ugh

as much as i want to agree with you on lot of the things you said i feel like i would be too negative. However i must say season 6 and season 4 are the least of my favorites. I don't remember too much about season 4. All I do remember is I was not a big fan of it. Now as far as season 6 goes. It's like the only reason I am watching it is because of the judges. Otherwise I could care less. The contestants have really pretty much failed to impress me. I mean I feel like there is always something missing.

Sohini- I feel like she has really low self esteem or something, she always seems down. She has to have the enthusiasm even if its for the classical music which she is comfortable with. Not to mention I wish she would at least give a shot to trying out like bit high pitch songs.

Devendra- GREAT singer, however because he is praised so much I am afraid that is going to eventually reflect upon his singing.

Amit- About time he starts singing something other than the high notes song.

Ritika- About only singer I can say that can do the justification to both classical and modern day music. when I first heard her I was not impressed at all. but now I am starting to understand her voice.

Poorvi- Girl as much as I like your high pitch songs, she still needs to try out some classical. I feel like she is basically the opposite of sohini.

Vipul.- I don't why I love this guy's voice but there is something missing.

Kaushik- I am a huge fan of his, however he seems to have this thing that "oh I can do just about anything"

Amitabh- I still dont understand him.

Charit- I absolutely loved him, but I still felt like he needs so much more training.

Deeksha- I wish I got to hear her a little bit more.

Thanks for the reply! I was very optimistic, but the more I think about it, the more I think the contestants are not amazing. You are right Devendras voice is great, but he has been consistent yet he has not challenged himself. I feel with all the praise he won't challenge himself and do what he keeps doing.

Personally, Ritika is the only girl I think should go further. They are looking for a playback singer, Sohini and Poorvi can go in to their own genres

I am also wanting to see more sides of Devendra, his passion and expression is there but the voice quality is lacking sometimes

It's funny that I am about to agree with you about ritika because Jas paji and I had this conversation and my exact words to him was " I am not a big fan of her" however now I am really starting to get fond of her. At such a young age it's nice to see her singing variational songs. Seems like she is a perfect blend of sohini and poorvi's voice.

And Devendra is just fantastic however he is going to have to be challenged like you said, otherwise at the age where he is at if he receives so much only god can save him. One must have up's and down's in order to grow stronger and devendra doesn't seem to have any down's or even if he does they are clearly being ignored.

First of all voice quality should be given preference. Voice of vipul, charit, poorvi devender are never satisfactory IMO. Other remaining four have best and sweet voice. Many girls with charming voice were ignored e.g. indu bala, juhi, kritika, geeta etc. Poorvi and devender were praised without listening their first song in audition. How it is possible that confidence on face of contestant is enough to select him/her in competition.

I think what they are trying to get at is contestants got selected based upon their confidence and looks. Which is completely a false statement. I can name one person who does not have the best of the looks yet this person was selected because their singing in their own genre was wonderful.

Sohini- Her voice is so extremely beautiful! Really playback material but she seems to have no confidence at alll😕

Devendra- He is a very good singer! But somehow i cant connect to him and his voice 🤔

Amit- I love this guy! His voice has something different, it has this kind of Punjabi flavour in it so i thought he could only sing punjabi songs but i noticed he can sing other songs as well. Great voice, i hope he wins!

Ritika- She is very young, but oh so good! Nice voice and i like her performances.

Poorvi- She has a good strong voice.

Vipul.- I like his voice and singing but i saw him so many times in SVOI already so, it just seems the same for me. Also, i didnt like Pehla Nasha and Tujhe Dekha that much in his voice, something was missing.

Kaushik- He is a great singer!

Amitabh- I liked him in the beginning but lately his voice is starting to sound so monotonous? Hes a great singer but hes starting to bore me now.

The only good singers to an extent are Kaushik, Vipul. But they need bring in some power to their voice. Sohini is pathetic. Devendar is sounds good only with certain numbers. It is only due to Ashaji constantly rubbing in the didi factor on the audience everytime Davendar sings, he wouldn't have been popular. One more tme she mentions of her didi to devendar, I swear I will never watch this show, as long as she is there.
Poorvi can forget Grammy - absolutely overhyped again thanks to Ashaji
The rest less said the better. All in all pathetic bunch of singers
