Oh plese, what r u saying, ashaji belongs to the golden era but she is one singer who has changed with the changing times and music.Have u heard her one two cha cha song and have u seen her dance in tht video. She is amazing👏 because of the way she has kept up with the current singers. There is no doubt tht she knows HR and she is in a position that if she does'nt like HR's music she can say it directly without twisting words, she does not depend on HR to keep her going.

I agree to 98 % of Ashaji says..She is a legend and will be remembered forever. Her voice has that magic ..which is still unparalled.

But I somehow did not think she being a proffessional that she is would ask a question like "who is Himeshji", especially being in the same field !! How can one not know him😲..... baccha baccha pehechanta hain...the whole of last year until about two months backl has seen a flood of his music hitting the market blasting in the discos, restaurants, puja pandals, shows, even the grocery stores!!! Any TV channel that one jumps to, has Himesh Reshammiya numbers playing, same with radio. Either she is too upset with him or she is being a little impolite. Somehow unbelievable but ....

By the way, there is a trend in the restaurants/grocery stores here now, instead of ashiq banaya..these days they are playing Debu's album...😃

I think asha ji may have said that to avoid any comment on Himesh ji, as yes it looks impossible that you don't know about him, does not matter if you are in music indistry or not. You open the radio he is there, you open the TV he is there, see any new movie now-a-days he is there. Therefore I think she has nothing good to say about him may be to avoid that she said that, which I agree not to good to say. She could have chose to say later no comments, but people make choices and sometimes whatever comes to mind on that particular moment, may be she didn't expect that question so wasn't ready to answer it. These are just all my guesses.....

And I agree with Ashaji 100% no matter what....
doesn't matter whether someone agrees with me or not

He is not only deteriorating the music, but making a mockery of Indian Music.....

I think that is rather rude of Asha to say that. I think that is arrogance talking. I dont like Himesh's music or his voice that much, but he is still popular, whether you like it or not and she needs to learn to respect other artistes. Not whole world is about Lata and Asha and thye need to stop this holier than thou attitude.
I think she is also being hypocritical, because in the past she always complained about how the old songs are remixed and displayed vulgarly. But her latest album does the same, ofcourse in good taste. But still, dont preach what you dont practice.

I posted this on another thread of HR for the first time

One of the things I have struggled to understand is the reason for the viral appeal of this man—-Himesh Reshammiya. You cannot surf channels without a glimpse of his visage: the faux-stud look, the beard, the baseball cap and the cockiness. If ubiquity is the measure of success, then this man has reached the top—from pan shops to discos Himesh Reshammiya's music and his uber-nasal twang blares at you ceaselessly, like the agonizing moans of a freshly castrated donkey.

Viral appeal? 😆 This is hilarious.
