After the disappointing 1st gala round, the 2nd one was like a breath of fresh air as far as the song selection was concerned.

Great performances
1. POORVI - Fantastic, Fabulous, outstanding
2.VIPUL - Effortless, breathtaking, professional
3. DEVENDRA - Sweet, cool
4. AMIT - Flawless, controlled (I think his voice suits Rafi saab's songs than Mukesh's)

Good ones
1. KAUSHIK - Good but could've been better,
2.RITIKA - She had some voice problems today, did some glaring mistakes but overall nice effort.

Ordinary
The remaining CHARIT, AMITABH & SOHINI. In fact Sohini was totally out of sorts today. Very weak performance. Charit's problem seems to be scale. He goes flat on higher scales and has limited range. He seems very inhibited. Amitabh was the better of the two but not very special.

PS:The creative team of II6 need to avoid those post performance non-musical antics like Kaushik shown eating eggs, Amit making bed coffee for Devendra, I change the channel when they show that. They were very irritating and not at all funny as they tried to project.

Poorvi definitely is uniquely interesting. I like amit kumar. Vipul is good too. But apart from Poorvi there is no WOW moment yet this season. Last night was good but thats all it was apart from poorvi

Poorvi was amazing today, her range and control was stellar!! I loved Devendra's performance, his expression was untouchable, he seemed so in love, especially the "lok hasda hain".

Poorvi was good for the most part but was quite weak when she sang the Indian style portion which was glossed over quite nicely.

Amitabh, Charit were not very good, Kaushik was alright. Sohini is not a good fit for this sort of competition. Her song is 10 times more difficult than anyone else's. But she did make a few mistakes.

Vipul was good but it is easy to look impressive with that song choice.

Devendra was excellent. Almost felt like I was listening to the radio.

Amit was good but not his best for me.

Ritika was pretty good with the expressions and as Salim pointed out she went flat in a couple of places. Still for one so young, she is pretty good.

charit i agree was weekest...specially in priyaa part he was flat
i don't like purvi..but its just bec i don't like that style singing--though song was hard and she did awesome with energy in it
amit was good too and devinder was in fact best even better than vipul's overconfident jhumroo song
sohini chose a wrong song ..she needed more romance oozing song
ritika went flat but expressions were awesome..ist one hard song to sing
how i wished some one could have chosen Geeta Dutt, hemant kumaar and talat mahmood songs...are those guys not singers...
but overall good episode
