i know its hard leaving an abusive relationship because ur in denial, but these actress have power that the regular women doesnt. So if they chose their fame and money over their self respect and dignity by not exposing the abuser, then im sorry, i dont have any pity for them. And neither should anyone else, because its clear where their priorities lie.

It takes guts and Ash proved she had plenty by exposing salman. Pity she didnt go further and hid behind Vivek later. and her career was over too, more or less after this whole fiasco, until she started dating abhishek. And now shes back to the same level of respect from the industry because shes now a bachchan bahu.

women's status was much better back then when they were rulers and warriors. when there was the downfall, women never tried to rise up against the evil, they were all dependent on men. and the struggle continues to this day. equality is not to be judged to a particular industry, if it has to rise from every department. but as far as i have seen... a woman is bitchy towards other, they feel insecure jealous and hardly be friends...and its with almost every age group. issues like female foeticide happen here and women never stands against it...they can just wipe the tears and see things happen. equality is not about getting the equal money, its about status...and if women wants it better..they need to become a force together to make a change...unfortunately seeing the women of my country...this seems like a dream

Granted...I would add that the main reason for this disparity is perhaps the way that Indian women are brought up...to be submissive to men...and be their caretakers...

Just so we are clear...I'm American/French...and women face the same issues here in America as well...but they are standing up against it...they have a voice and they are given a platform to protest against injustice..

In India, I believe that the new generation of women who travel and are open minded will start teaching their children about equality... and only then will these issues take center stage...

Even in America...things were not achieved overnight...but contrary to what most people think...sometimes it takes just one person to start a movement...and make a difference...

I hate men who abuse women... not just that I hate men who think they are superior to women.

ahaan. She's from London and women from London would never keep quiet if they get abused. Makes sense. A lot of sense.
