Oh wow! Obviously things are just beginning so there is a lack of details in the article. However I can not deny that whatever kind of movie this will be, or whatever type of role he has, its limitations or opportunities, I am very much excited, intrigued and hopeful about this venture. I kind of want to see what he will bring to the role. Undeniably, Arjun has the ability to act up a storm but ...

...I remember whilst watching Band Baaja Baraat, I was so impressed by Ranveer. What he brought to that role rightfully catapulted him into stardom's plane. However I kept thinking, what would Arjun do in that role? What would he bring to it? Would he be able to pull it off?

What he brought to Mayank was exceptional charm and depth. Though I still contend to many people's chagrin that the characterization of Mayank was wondrous to begin with that I would have fallen in love with him no matter who played him.

I wanted to see him acting in something challenging, grand and wondrous along the lines of 'Bittoo' or Mayank. It is more than just curiousity, it is seeing an artist's developing his talent. Which brings me full circle. Whatever his role, whatever the movie, I am glad that he is trying something new within in art.

Regardless, most of all, I just want to see him acting again!

Thank you so much for sharing. Kindest regards, Sabah

hey Sabah dii...its so good to se ur post after a hiatus!

talking about how Arjun would have played Bitto or who-so-ever...its indeed very very difficult even to speculate coz once we see some actor playing a certain character its a very difficult task to imagine some one else taking up that role!
i think the same goes for Mayank, its very difficult for me to now even imagine some one else playing mayank apart from AB in it, and in my opinion i dont think i would have been able to love Mayank more had some one else played it, inspite of the fact that Mayank in himself was an adorable Character! But the way AB pulled it off he made Mayank so and real Alive to us!!...in indian drama there are a lot of characters who are written in the same lines of Mayank but to me they have not been able to make a mark for themselves which AB did with so much ease!

so AB without Mayank and Mayank without AB are incomplete!

and like you Said ""Regardless, most of all, I just want to see him acting again!""😃

Sanchari, 😃

talking about how Arjun would have played Bitto or who-so-ever...its indeed very very difficult even to speculate coz once we see some actor playing a certain character its a very difficult task to imagine some one else taking up that role! Of course, I just meant, that my thoughts wondered over what Arjun would have brought to that role. How would he have portrayed Bittoo, given the words on paper flesh, so to speak. It isn't a comparison, or a competition, but rather just a ponderance.

i think the same goes for Mayank, its very difficult for me to now even imagine some one else playing mayank apart from AB in it, and in my opinion i dont think i would have been able to love Mayank more had some one else played it, inspite of the fact that Mayank in himself was an adorable Character! so AB without Mayank and Mayank without AB are incomplete! I understand what you are saying, and you are not the first to disagree with me.

I agree somewhat to what you are saying. Part of that Mayank on screen came from Arjun, so that if he had not played him, then there would have been something missing or somehow different, even different by being worse.

I also agree that there are many 'Mr Darcy' types written and few can hold up to the original. For me, Mayank did. That is the Mayank on paper not just Arjun's portrayal of him.

and like you Said ""Regardless, most of all, I just want to see him acting again!""😃 Agreed!

With love, Sabah
