I wonder, what did past week give us?
Siddhi found out about Vikram's involvement in the case, She confronted him, informed Kunal about it. Later very easily she bought Raveena's nonsense how Vikram did same thing as Kunal. Sure taking your wife's blame and go to jail is same thing as keeping quite about most vital information till you are in a way caught. why? to save honor, what honor does dumbo has left please God or better CVs tell me. Then eventually she spots Rohit, of course she does.
Raveena, curse on the name of a sister and human being. Just when I think she can't sink any lower, CVs prove me wrong.
Vikram dear, lost all the respect I had for you. First part of week he is mute, says he wants to help SINAL but why bother by telling about night which would save Kunal lot of work. No let the damn hero run around like crazy while he plays with his wife. Then suddenly he has mentos moment and it's all trap by Rohit, bravođđđ. If you are that smart, why the hell you married dumbo?
But what I really want to know is where is Kunal and his Parichay here? One might argue everything that is happening is for Kunal to bring out, oh thank you for explaining me that. Look at people around him. His wife, every time she visits, she has to say how she will get him out and bring him to his family and most importantly to her. His sister does nothing but get him in deep trouble every single time. His BIL, man I thought had same amount of dignity has extracted selfishness from dumbo. And we all thought she is dumbo well see how powerful she is. Kunal's family, no one bothers to visit him and has complete faith in JKR to save their son. Gaurav is no where to be seen.
So what has Kunal's Parichay turned into? First people hide things from him till it gets out of control. Then Kunal steps in, takes all the burden on him and does amazing job in first part. But again his own don't feel like supporting him completely as that is more dramatic so his enemy gets upper hand very easily. Later same people come to his rescue as every time Kunal's condition gets worse and worse. When Kunal is trying to handle a situation or find a way out, all the problems in the world await him and attacks him all at ones. Things are just too hard if he's dealing with them. But when his wife comes in, things just fall in place and people simply figure out it is a trap. So basically Kunal is just there to take all the beating from circumstances and family; but he must stand strong there. Everyone can manipulates Kunal as they wish and ridicule him; his enemies, family members, situation, strangers and fake witnesses. So he gets all the shit but no glory because by the time things end, no one remembers what Kunal did?
What is it we really saw during last week I ask? I simply saw Kunal's name used over and over but no Kunal. Yes I've heard "ram se bada ram ka naam" but do we have that here? Where is THE KUNAL CHOPRA? Kunal who use to stand back but observe the situation. Kunal who acted on his wish if he wants to intervene or not. Kunal who seem indifferent but is very well aware of the situation. Kunal who can change the course of situation simply by his mere presence. Kunal who cared for well-being of his loved ones. Kunal who pondered upon what has happened in his life, where does he stand, what are his roles or who is he at the moment. Kunal who engaged in internal dialogue to reflect on his behavior, emotions and exposed his true nature. Kunal who is willing to fight all odds to defend what is right. Kunal who sticks to his promise and can go to any extent to fulfill them. The unpredictable and stubborn man who doesn't make compromises. Kunal who knows how to handle a situation. where is that Kunal I ask?
Right now Kunal is in jail one may say. Well is that the Kunal we know? That person seem helpless, defeated, clueless caged animal who is just blank. There is no activity, no thought. Can't Kunal sit in jail and reflect on what has happened? When case was against Siddhi, it was possible an actual accident so his approach was different. But now he knows for sure Thakral has trapped him, but he doesn't have anything to say about it? He sure fulfilled his promise and saved Siddhi; but how many people will remember that by the end? Is he going to get any credit for it? Can't Kunal think about his promise to his family or even Siddhi that he will make sure they are always together? Yes he certainly is in big mess right now but is he just going to take it? Not for him, but did he think what his family will do without him? Will Siddhi be able to live without him? What happened to his newly found will to fight (due to Siddhi) all odds to protect his loved ones and face any situation. Just because he's in jail he has lost all ability to do anything? All he can do is just sit around looking helpless and wait to see his love? Yes he needs help and not Siddhi-Vikram but everyone can help him. But where was this help 2 weeks ago when Kunal tried to save Siddhi. He stood alone taking all the beating on him. It is one thing to receive help and be helped as if you can't do anything. Kunal I know use to look back and try to understand what has happened and what is happening, what can he do to make things better; do we see that here? I do not know this man.
In past Kunal has been sidelined for some period (EMA issue) but he wasn't completely absent. I sat quietly when he lost job & Vikram helped him as it more or less made sense in hope of it may be just a build up for future. Kunal mouthed many dialogues but hardly half action and I took it as other things seem right. During rape case even though Siddhi took all the credit we all know Kunal made significant contribution to. (if anyone is unsure about it Chitra posted simplified list to point it out) But what is Kunal doing here or where really is Kunal here?
Anyone who bothers to read my long post may know how much I admire Kunal Chopra. Not just as telly Bachchan, but he has some Satyakam in him with very complex nature. I can go on and on about how his complexity is simply amazing. I have said it before, KUNAL CHOPRA is THE BEST character in the history of Indian tv and one of the finest actor of India has given life to him. But the way past week showed (or more like didn't show) him, I feel let down, cheated, dejected, and highly disappointing. The treatment KC has received past week has deeply hurt me on personal level.
I don't know what may be coming next, but for the first time I feel bit hopeless...
