I have been reading MANY posts that express serious disappointment at the way the whole "Slap Gate" was handled on Friday's episode!
We all had such GREAT Expectations from this slap! More fool us I say! The slap was meant to establish once and for all, that Arnav is with Khushi and also the fact that he was going to kick Shyam out by stopping him further insulting his wife and sister in law! This slap was supposed to "Cure" everything! Unfortunately for me, the slap left me totally COLD!
I felt like it was a complete "Anti-Climax"! Nothing really took place of significance accept that Shyam got chucked out of the house! The rest of the family did not seem to be fully in support of this decision, and Akash even tried to intervene and STOP ASR from throwing him out! Shyam who insulted and maligned HIS wife as well as his sister in law Khushi! Akash appeared to sympathise with the man who said that his wife perused him for money, and that the Gupta sister's "Cooked" this whole thing up between them to "Trap" the eligible and rich Raizada bachelor's into matrimony! It was obviouse that Akash's silence and "Empathy" for Shyam came from his support of their "Di", JUST like ASR! These men continue to let their wives suffer to prop up their "Abala Nari" DI!
The whole family including ASR, just stood by while Shyam continued to insult the Gupta girls, and called them cheap and opportunistic! Especially Khushi! He accused Payal for continuing her silence JUST so she can facilitate her marriage to a household such as the Raizada's! He practically called them both Gold diggers who were chasing his Brother's in law for money!
What did the two "Lover Boy" Raizada's who KNOW that this is all a pack of lies DO? NOTHING!!
Akash knows that Payal did NOT peruse him! It was the other way around! Arnav knows that Khushi didn't "Trap" him into marriage, HE trapped HER! He also knows that Shyam admitted to him that he never loved Anjali, and that Anjali is the only barrier between him attaining Khushi! But STILL he said nothing! At the last moment, AFTER Khushi appealed to him to TRUST her WITHOUT evidence, he decides to come forward to act as if he has "Blind faith" in his wife, and chuck out his brother in law from the house!
Non of the Raizada's know that this is not ALL blind faith of his part! He TOO is privy to a lot of facts RE Shyam! Just like Khushi, Payal and NK are privy to things! They ALL spoke up and said what they know of him and his duplicity! Only ASR did not! The only logical explanation is his devotion to his "Abala Nari" sister! He wanted to "Spare" her further heartache, by revealing that the man she worshipped for years, actually ADMITTED to never loving her, and admitted to wanting to leave her for another woman!
If Khushi "appealing" to ASR and him trusting her was supposed to be a "Romantic" and "Semi Rabba-Ve" moment'. Then I am sorry but it totally FELL FLAT! If from that scene they were trying to establish to us that NOW, ASR is willing to trust Khushi without proof, even after so many damning accusations from Snake, then it just did NOT deliver! That scene didn't communicate any of that! It just showed ASR standing by while Shyam continued to insult Khushi, and call her every name in the book, (and Akash stood by while Shyam insulted HIS wife)' and THEN Khushi goes all "Abala Nari" and APPEALS to be trusted without proof, and the Hero who was just "Kade Kade Thamasha Dektharaha", decides to intervene and make a HUGE dramatic gesture of slapping his Jija and ordering him out of his house! ALL he will say in defence of his wife is "My wife is important to me, as much as my sister"!! Not good enough!
It was clear as DAY that his sister IS and will REMAIN, the most important person in his life! Khushi will always come second to her! Because on Friday, he did the un-pardonable! He let the women he "So called LOVES" be insulted by a man, who he himself KNOWS is a snake and a pervert! JUST to spare his Cry baby sister more grief! At least in Akash's defense, he was NEVER privy to Shyam's true nature!
This show had SO much charm, coz ASR was different, and so was Khushi! They did not fit the respective "Abala Nari" and "Wimp" characters that so many shows love to foster in their Heroine and Hero!
ASR was rude, arrogant, and direct! He did not believe in flowery speech, nor staying silent when speaking was needed! He was always portrayed as a man of action! A man who knows his mind! He may not always be right, but he is always decisive and speaks his mind! He did not apologise for who he was! He never stood on the side-lines like a "Prop"! Good or bad, he always DID something! THAT ASR was missing last week, and in his place was some sort of "Whimp" who continued to just stand and watch while a disgusting sleezy man insulted his wife and sister in law! Who even called his wife "Characterless" ! He WAITED until his wife appealed to him to intervene, and THEN decided to make a huge show of the "Slap" and then chucked the man out of the house! The ASR I fell in love with was NOWHERE to be seen! I was truly GUTTED!
Coming to Khsuhi:
Khushi was always spunky! She ALSO speaks her mind! She is smart and sassy! All heart, BUT has a strong mind too! She has strong values and she KNOWS who she is and is confident in her own skin! She NEVER apologized for who she was, and was not insecure, coz she was not some "Posh" girl! Unlike other girls, she NEVER tried to impress ASR, and always was herself around him! THIS is why he fell for her so badly! He fell for her "Authenticity"! THIS was the girl who threw his job contract in his face! THIS was the girl who pushed him in the guest house, and even after the forced marriage and DEMANDED answers! On Friday, SHE was gone, and in her place was some whimpering "Abala Nari" who was appealing to the so called "Man who loves her" to trust her! The Khushi I love was GONE! I hated that!
So effectively, the CV's have butchered both ASR and Khushi's characters! They have slaughtered the story and the characters that we fell so crazily in love with! I believe ALL this is courtesy of the new MU that is supposed to brew between the siblings! Because now Poojali will blame Khushi, coz her brother took HER side against her husband!
I was waiting 13 months to see the Romance of the "ASR and Khushi" that I saw 1 year ago, even 5 months ago!
They both had GUTS and SPUNK and they both had tremendous CHARM and Charisma! THAT is the romance I signed up to see! NOT a romance between an "Abala Nari" and a "Wimp"!!
